That's not COMPLETELY true, Ty...we don't like the idea of a SITTING show choir song. The idea is that we can dance AND sing. If you want to just stand, perform as a concert choir. I think that maybe if Wahlert ever really did a true ballad, there's no way it would be sitting, or at least not very long.
If it was a real question, then yes...that's what we believe.
It's sad that you can use the word "we" in your post. I suppose 95% of show choirs should just cease to exist and stick to being concert choirs. I'll spread the word to directors.
Thank you to everyone at Fort Atkinson. This was an extremely well run competition. From our room hosts to the parent volunteers to the backstage dads to the facilities to the food to all of the amazing groups. All were top notch. I would recommend this competition to anyone.
Congratulations to all groups on a great day but especially to Wahlert. I am really looking forward to seeing your show this weekend at Star Power in Waconia.

I never remember the names of the choirs or who does the show...but the show choir that did Black Parade as the opener and I will Follow You Into the Dark as a ballad was my personal favorite...was that Janesville? I was too excited to concentrate on the names of groups!

I loved this one ballad, and silly me i can't remember what it was called... or which choir sang it!! But i think they went fifth or sixth in finals... i would venture to guess Mundelein? Well it was really pretty!
