-Edgewood was really good and inovative, however last years show took the cake and that whole over the top individual personality thing worked for last years show but this years lacks warmth

what does everyone else think?

Yeah, last year's show was awesome. We really tried to break away from all tradition there. How do you think we could increase warmth in this year's show?

oh wow!
Beavercreek was AMAZING!
and all i have to say is that everyone really did bring just what they said they would.

-Deklab did a phenominal job
-Kettering was hilarious and very creative
-Nitro? oh wow, deff not even the same group as last year!
-Edgewood was really good and inovative, however last years show took the cake and that whole over the top individual personality thing worked for last years show but this years lacks warmth
-Northrope was very impressive and did some classic show choir songs that really hit home

and the points? they were SO CLOSE. there was only a 13 point difference between Grand Champs and 4th run! literally like .5 and 1.5 difference between the groups.

and Dekalbs caption awards were greatly deserved their costumes were gorgeous and vocals crazily amazing.

This competition was very surprising! but i'd have to say that most improved is deff nitro. And their vocals were rediculously haunting and had such a depth and richness, and their show was very crisp and very flowing. They ditched the whole theatrical stuff for a very original but still very traditional show. I was very impressed with them.

And Northrope was very good, having only seen them before once i was very satisifed with the consistancty they gave while performing. And their dynamics were killer, especially in the nightime performance. I was so excited to see them in person and they didnt let me down. And the opening number was very interesting and offbeat it was almost strange. But i i loved it and that soloist was amazing, my personal favorite of the day.

what does everyone else think?

Best choreography and vocals went to dekalb! But I don’t think they gave out best combo at the night show! Northrop received it at the day show!

Hey guys and gals, First Post.

I am a member of Kettering "Illusion" and would like to thank Beavercreek for the excellent competition.

I would also like to thank the few people on this thread who believed in us and didn't count us out.

And yes we have a new choreographer, Antwon Chavis.

Yes, way to go Kettering! I never doubted Kettering had the potential, although I didn't get to see your show, a lot of the members in our group thought Kettering would be a force to reckon with.

first time poster but its my second year in the stc singers

beavercreek was even more fun than last year but there were a few oddities and some groups that didnt do as well as i hoped they would. euclid ur show was great. i loved all the claps cuz they woke me up from some of the more boring shows (not naming any). hope to see u guys around and any going to piqua, cya there

and also
your vocals were amazing but the only thing that brought it down seemed to be some of the nervousness in the soloists. hopefully that will come along with more practicing and more performances

thank uyou and yea i was one of the soloist i was the one who pointed lol

Aaaah so Beavercreek! First off, thanks to our hosts, you guys were so nice and supportive it was great having you! Beavercreek overall was a great competition (Besides running slightly behind.. " border="0" alt="ermm.gif" /> )

So throughout the day I only got the chance to see one group live and that was Bishop Luers. You guys were great! Your shows are always so different but so much fun, and I loved the guys number! No one could belive that you didn't make finals, but that shouldn't take away from having a great performance. Northrop loves you guys!

From what I saw on the TV and what I heard from several people I think the results for the end were pretty accurate. I know everyone at Northrop was stoked that we moved up two places from the day round to night. Dekalb, congrats on your grand champion, I didn't get to see your show but I heard good things, hopefully I'll get to see it next week at 'Busco!

Good luck to everyone in the following weeks! Thanks again Beavercreek for an awesome competition!
