WHOOOOOO HOOOOOOOO! What an amazingly fun competition! An amazing way to end my high school show choir career *small tear*. Logan really puts a lot into their competition, and the room hosts were great! Congrats to everyone all day, wether you made finals or not, because I was amazed by all (and convinced I wasn't going to perform in Finals...) Bemidji was amazing (Listening to Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For, as we speak) and I am terribly dissapointed I didn't get to see GCS because I have heard so much about that show. The reps I got to talk to whilst we waited for the results were some pretty awesome people. Glad to hear everyone made it home ok! I think we were going like 40 mph on the interstate....Soooo Slow. I took almost the same amount of time to get home from LaCrosse as it did from New London...And New London's farther away!!!!
YEAH!!! It appears everyone made it home safely. I know that some directors did hesitate about what to do.
Thank you for all the nice compliments about our parents and kids. Like our Principle said last night at Logan it is all about family and I can honestly say that in everything my kids have participated and done there we are all a family in one way, shape or form. And I will say that show choir is truly a family considering how much time we all spend together and the friendships that are made!
wow i cant believe that our comp. season is over! yea after our final show all the seniors started to cry, it was very sad. I also want to say thank you to sauk for offering us a place to stay (even though for some dumb reason we decided to venture home, chh 4hrs on a school bus heater broke not fun) and to reedburg for just being awsome! good luck to everyone next year
To Reedsburg- You're the little show chor that could. Congrats on all of your major accomplishments this year. Your story is one of those rags to riches ESPN stories.
wow... thanks so much... can't wait to see you all again next year....
look for us... word on the street is CATS for next year
To Bemidji- It was great seeing you. It was a really fun show. You guys certainly know how to dance! To the girls group- FANTASTIC job! Kevin Chase, as you all know, is pretty darn cool... y'all did a great job and deserved that win!
Thanks Adam! I was very proud of both Bemidji groups! i cant wait to watch your group on dvd!
Also thanks to Logan for a great comptition, both bemidji groups had a blast!
Congrats to all the groups from middle school, womens, prep, and open classes. Also a big congrats to GCS!

i know i said almost the EXACT same thing last year but.... the girl from bemidji that had two solos this year and last year did the barracuda solo...i think you are my favorite soloist....AMAZING!!!!!!!!!! sry i dont remember your name, i was told it last year...is it Brook???? idk but YOU ROCK!!!
here name is jessica olson- i will pass on your message to her!
First off... Thank you so much to Logan! Your parents and students are wonderful. Our hosts were fantastic and really helpful.
Thank you to Western Dubuque for loaning us a box in the day round. That was really kind and we appreciate it greatly.
To La Crosse Central- Congrats on a much deserved win! Mr. Miller showed me a DVD of you that quite honestly I wasn't very impressed with... but seeing it live makes the whole difference. It seems the last two years, people always say, "GCS isn't going to be good this year." But... no matter how young the group is or level of talent, or whatever... Mr. Esser can pull it out of you. You guys looked and sounded fantastic! You're the top in Wisconsin... yet again!

To Sauk- I can't wait for you guys to come perform at "Great River" on that big Broadway stage. You'll be right at home there... and if you give a performance like you did yesterday; you'll be at the top.
To Mayville- You all are so invested in your show! Congrats on all of your accomplishments.
To Reedsburg- You're the little show chor that could. Congrats on all of your major accomplishments this year. Your story is one of those rags to riches ESPN stories.
I love going to competitions and seeing so many people that I love to be around. Show Choir is amazing... we all know this, but it has brought so many people into my life that I know won't go away. It's also great to continually meet new people. It just gets better and better as the years go by. Shout outs to my Showstopper Cameron Arndt and The Adam Miller!
Props to Mr. Jeff Bishop! It was fantastic meeting this awesome kid after he was hi-jacked by Connection. I hope to see you at another competition.

GCS's show is a journey from sin to redemption. I think the first 3 songs are pretty obvious. Gonna Build a Mountain is kind of "this is all going to get better" and Blow Gabriel Blow is "I used to be a sinner but now I'm not! WOOHOO!" basically. The lyrics of all the songs tell a really obvious story.
See, if i knew that before I watched the show, I would have noticed.
But it wasn't very apparent to me when watching it.

good job to everyone yesterday!
looks like finals ended up being a really close one!
bemidji: I can't wait to watch your show next weekend at waconia again.
i <3 it. i am still in aw of you last costume change.
they are like ripped off but no one even can tell where they went?!
i was shocked
GCS: Another really good year for you guys.
Although, I'm not sure that I understand what the show is about.
maybe I needed some prior knowledge of the whole "gabriel" stuff.
but frankly, you had stellar vocals and choreo like usual,
which earned you the very deserving grand champions!
Congrats.
Sauk: I didn't get to see you show yesterday,
but you guys are obvisouly improving more and more every weekend,
and really proving that you can work the musical themes.
I'm excited for you to come to our competition!
Mayville: I didn't see your show either,
but i must say, i do love the newsies!
Davenport and Reedsburg: didn't see your shows either.
Davenport usually always has a strong show, I wish I would have seen it.
Reedsburg, you guys are doing awesome this year. I really want to see the show!
Good Job to everyone!
Hopefully I will see the rest of the shows over the next few months!
I just want to say thank you for coming. We enjoyed hosting all the groups! It was a great day! Although I missed many of the daytime shows, because I went to watch my son wrestle at regionals for his first matches(yes I was IN Reedsburg), but I got back right before Mayville went on. I got to see all the finals choirs except Sauk(I did see your afternoon show), your groups were all awesome, I had text messages from a couple of parents telling me that this was not going to be an easy choice as all the groups were awesome. Congratualtions to all choirs. I hope everyone had a great time.
I would just like to say that we here at reedsburg are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
happy to have made finals last night. we think we may have set a reedsburg record for most sucsessful show choir season as ( to the best of our directors knowledge) we are the first reedsburg group to have made finals at all our competitions and we are also the first reedsburg group to make finals at logan. THRILLED even though we got 6th.... it was my second favorite competition of all time ( first favortie being sauk this year )
AND we saw soooooooo many AH-mazin groups that we never get to see....... GCS, Bemidji- blew me away completely. FANTASTIC
can anyone tell that im in a good mood? lol
good luck at all your future competitions and we'll see you next year!
