does anybody know if wheeling was any good?

Did anybody see Brodhead's show. It seems they are always close to finals but never in. The last few years they have had a great show. What is this years like? Are they any good this year? I haven't gotten to see them yet.

HUGE congrats to Johnston! FINALLY after 6 long years it's nice to see another GC with your name attached!

I don't have the finals rankings in front of me, but I do know Johnston had 3 1st place votes, and 1 third. Hersey had 3 2nds and 1 first, but - Hersey had a higher point total I believe. So yet another contest to discuss the whole ranking vs. points thing I guess.

But a great day, and a BEAUTIFUL school!

Janesville Craig -

WAY TO GO!! You guys really stepped it up from day to night, and I know I speak for all your directors, parents and supporters when I say we couldn't be prouder. Let's get to it on Monday night, and get ready for Brodhead! Also, a huge congrats to Kerstina Aldrich for winning Best Female Soloist in a show AND in the solo competition!

Ben

P.S. I do have the prelim sheets in front of me...no harm in posting the scores I suppose.

1 - John Hersey "On Stage" - 732.5
2 - Johnston "Innovation" - 726
3 - Mt. Prospect "Mixed Company" - 665
4 - Mayville "Cardinal Singers" - 653.5
5 - Janesville Craig "Spotlighters" & Wheeling "New Dawn" - 646

7 - Brodhead "Guys & Dolls" - 637.5
8 - Depere "Jam Session" - 605.5
9 - Parkview "Pizazz" - 585
10 - Alan B. Shepard "Nova" - 563

Does Fort do the same version of "Freddie Said" that April gave Linn-Mar a couple of years ago?

we have made finals at Viterbo, Monona Grove, and Eau Claire this year, which are the three competitions we've gone to so far. our show this year is:

Louder than Words
Freddie Said
The World I Know
The Big Issue
Life is a Highway

My apologies, I knew it was a big Iowa competition but I didn't know which one.

Correction on that correction - you didn't lost ALL the Iowa choirs, because Johnston is an Iowa school! So you at least got one!

and it is a good one to have!!!

Correction... you lose all your Iowa choirs due to "Great River" hosted by Davenport West and Central. Davenport North's "Big Dance" is a weekend later (February 24th).

I would also imagine that you also lost a few Wisconsin choirs due to District Solo Ensemble being that day in Wisconsin

Hey everyone....

Okay so here's the deal. This competition is a lot smaller this year because we had to move it back a weekend due to a conflict with our gym. So we lose all the Iowa choirs due to the Big Dance. Which is sad, because they're always a lot of fun. We're not doing the concert choir competition for the same reason, just not enough groups. Yes, we do have finals. I hope everyone's looking forward to this competition, because I know we are. Good luck and see you all Saturday!
