I know Thomas Jefferson "Music Machine" will be competing here (they come every year). Decatur "Elite Energy" might be competing here but I heard Scott Hines will be judging a competition in Ohio on Saturday so I'm unsure about their attendance. Rumor has it that Sullivan will be attending this competition but than again that's just a rumor.

I heard that there are 24 groups registered for this year's events. Directors packets will be sent out sometime this week I believe.

Still looking for a competition in March? Well have no fear the Sound Explosion is here!

Your students will enjoy a fun-filled day, which includes:

•A Warm up room with 16-platform risers.
•Perform on an auditorium stage (great sound no matter the size of your group).
•Clinic with experienced adjudicators.
•Top 6 scoring high school groups participate in the evening finals, regardless of class.
•Solo competitions open to both middle school and high school students. Groups are not limited to a specific number of soloists, so everyone interested enjoy a solo experience.
•The top 3 soloists from each division will be recognized at preliminary awards. The winners of both the middle and high school will perform live on stage.
•One member from each choir will receive a "Outstanding Performer" medallion.

For more information contact Tiffany Williams at: [email protected] or call (217) 525-3130x161 (music office) between 8:00 am - 2:00 pm.
