Well Huntington Will be there I am so glad that theis year the competition does not conflict with the state competition. It rocks my socks off. Looking forward to it, can't wait.

Don't worry =) A few of us are actually good friends with "Ilovetosing88" =P and I personally understand what he's saying. All I'm going to say on the matter is that I am not the least bit worried about Mr. Shaw's abilities and am counting down the days to competition season ;) Thank you very much for your good luck wishes! I'm very excited to see Charisma this year and your new all male group!

Just letting everyone know that "Ilovetosing88" has graduated from Northrop 2 years ago and that what he says is none whatsoever the way that Northrop Charisma feels about Curtis Shaw. We have worked with him and think he will do great with his new job; and are very excited for him! Good Luck this year Homestead!

The Homestead Classic Showcase is March 14, 2009. ISSMA State Finals are March 21, 2009. So we hope to see a lot of schools attend who have said they wanted to come to Homestead but always had the conflict with State finals. Invitations will be mailed out at the end of summer.

Curtis Shaw is the new director at HOMESTEAD!!! He is a bachelor in voice from IPFW and his teaching from Indiana Weslyn. He did his Student teaching with Tom Maupin at Northrop. He's a cool down to earth guy! I'm sure he will do good things with Homestead!!

yeah homestead has always been used as another competition for choirs who either dont want to go to state or dont make state.

How will this be affected now that ISSMA is going to have two State Show Choir competitions on that date, based on school size? I would think that there will now be even more schools who will qualify for the state competition. Plus it would be great to see Homestead compete for a state title.

Seeing as they were GCs in 2004 right?

I lied they aren't. That was my first out-of-state GC. TV got 2RU in 2003 and GC in 2004 there.

I always thought Homestead has been on the same day as ISSMA and used as an alternative competition to ISSMA. (If not it sounds good)
