As I've heard elsewhere, apparently Wheaton Warrenville will be attending, according to their website.

since i didn't get to go to FAME chicago, i am convincing myself to attend this.
y'all might see me there. as long as i convince some fools to road trip it with me.

So who all do we know of right now that can't make it? And will other groups be invited now in their places?

that is really sad... why did they bother to compete then?? let groups who want to go to nationals compete for those 3 spots.

I thought about making a similar post, but I realized that FAME Orlando is still a competition in itself and the same experience for the groups that is always has been. If you can only afford one big trip, Orlando has lots to do and is a nice way to get out of your normal circuit to compete. I had a feeling this may happen when FAME announced their plans originally; the drawback to converting all of their major events to "regionals" is that you'll also get a mix of groups going strictly to compete the one time. There isn't a secondary option for schools who want to compete in a "nationals" competition who don't want to go to either New York or Nashville. I'm very interested to see what the final Indiana lineup looks like.

I'm like 80% sure that NONE of the FAME Orlando Qualifiers are going to be attending.

I'd also like to see FC. I haven't seen FC since 2007. Man that seems so long ago

ISSMA Concert Choir Finals and FC's Prom are both that day. FC should do very well in concert choir since they already bested last years' champion Heritage Christian once this year. So they won't be attending unfortunately.

Ah! Last time you saw them was 07??? That was a terrible year! lol. 08 09 10 and 11 have been MUCH better. Especially 09 and 11...
BTW: I loved MV 2007! I still catch myself humming "And the ship, is my bed, and the waves are my pillow..." lol ALL THE TIME. One of the best sung ballads I've ever heard.

I suggested a long way back that Fame should televise this. With the popularity of Glee, I think this could be a big money maker. If ESPN can broadcast the National Dog Show, you'd think they would be willing to show something a thousand times more exciting.

ISSMA Concert Choir competition is the same day as well, So FC Singers will not be attending, as they have their prom that evening as well.

Are they seriously not doing a live feed of this? i'd easily pay 15 - 20 bucks for a live feed.

Eisenhower is in the same "prom boat".

I wondered if they were. A lot of schools around here, including Pekin, have prom that day. Some of the kids wanted to skip Prom and go watch earlier this year.

It would be too bad if FC couldn't compete because of prom. I know it's important to a lot of people, but I missed all of my proms going to national tournaments in Wilmington DE, Atlanta, and Philadelphia (for mock trial) and had a much, much better time than I would have had at any prom with the experiences of being at an event of such magnitude.

And plus they can have their own prom or something similar to it, if they want.
