I normally don't do these but thought I'd add my opinion in the mix:

GC: WV
1ru: Carmel
2ru: John Burroughs
3ru: Hastings
4ru: Buffalo Grove
5ru: Wheaton North
6ru: Naperville North

I've seen WV, Carmel, WN, and NN live. I think the difference between GC and 1ru will be as close as it's ever been, and could easily be switched. And I won't even attempt to predict captions!!

6RU: Wheaton North
5RU: Naperville North /Buffalo Grove
4RU: Buffalo Grove/Naperville North
3RU: John Burroughs
2RU: Hastings
1RU: Waubonsie Valley
GC: Carmel

BV: Waubonsie Valley
BC: Carmel
BB: Naperville North

Maybe switch it up a little bit. John Burroughs hasn't had as many competitions as the others so in my thinking maybe they won't be as clean and critiqued as other groups yet. So that's why I didn't put them in my top 3. Hastings has had 5 comps so they at this point will be cleaner and critiqued more so I believe they'll be in the top 3. As for first and second, based on where the 2 have competed and what captions they've won against who I've decided on Waubonsie in 2nd and Carmel in 1st. Best Band in my opinion should go to Naperville North. Any thoughts???

Predictions:

GC: Carmel (BV)(BC)
1RU: John Burroughs
2RU: Waubonsie Valley
3RU: Buffalo Grove (Hastings)
4RU: Hastings (Buffalo Grove)
5RU: Wheaton North
6RU: Naperville North

From seeing Carmel this weekend at the Chicagoland Showcase, it is clear to everyone they will most likely go home with a GC Trophy. Having a director like their's will get them the wins they already have which is three. John Burroughs every year is amazing and glamorous, but that just won't cut it for this bloodbath of a comp. I can see Carmel winning both BV and BC but I can also see Burroughs winning one of the two. Seeing Waubonsie this year around December at a clinic, they had really nice choreo and vocals as usual but it was not anything spectacular as past years. The reason I put Buffalo Grove and Hastings for both 3RU AND 4RU is because honestly it could go either way. Hastings crushed everyone they came in contact with seven times this year, crowning them undefeated. But something tells me they will be this weekend. But this whole weekend will be have a lot of tight scores and a TON of talent. I would not be surprised if any of their shows got turned around and suddenly got really good or really bad. It will be a weekend no one can predict.

I could see it going this way. I just hope everyone is at the top of their game because this is gonna be a bloodbath!

I'm in favor of an SCC meet up the evening before!

Looks like there's some great food options in nearby Naperville. Any Chicagoland people have any suggestions?

Does 7:00 Friday evening work for people?

Also, I could bring a couple people from the Twin Cities if anyone still needs a ride. I'm planning on leaving at about 10 Friday morning and returning Sunday. You'd have to find your own hotel accommodations, and deal with Harry Potter audiobooks in the car, but I promise I'm a great car companion :D

7 should work for me and Kyler. I think we're planning on leaving at about 2:30 and getting to our hotel at about 6, which is in Naperville so 7 or anytime after works for us

I would be in for this, although we may not be rolling in until around 8. I'm all for Lou's or Giordanos.

My friend and I are planning on getting to the area around that time too. We're highly in favor for Lou Manati's!

If you want pizza, your top 3 are Lou Malnati's, Giordano's, and Gino's. Otherwise, GO TO PORTILLO'S

Yes, there will be a live stream! The live stream link will be available via the @ChoralClassic Twitter page and Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/WWSChoralClassic/?fref=ts) next weekend.

It was mentioned a couple pages ago. There will also be a link to it at the top of this website as usual.
