I agree on the Xavier issue to an extent. As much as Laura (now my Luther buddy) and Ryan were a "staple" in "Xhilaration"; I am confident that the choir will continue to grow under the great direction of Mr. Last. He is a pro and each year "Xhilaration" continues to get better and show much growth. I look forward to seeing them compete at "Great River" in February.

Thanks for the support, we're all really excited for Supernova. Thanks for the encouragement, too, Jay - we're definitely the group with the chip on our shoulder because so many people have opinions like yours. The theme of our show ("The Unexpected") is actually what it is because of those opinions. No one's denying that Laura and Ryan were "staples" of our program, you could say, but I think that we have a solid show and we're looking forward to performing and competing at Linn-Mar. I'm also really excited to see all the other groups at Linn-Mar, best of luck to everyone.

The closer Linn-Mar gets, the bigger the knot gets in my stomach. I'm so anxious and scared!!!

I want to wish luck to all of the groups!

why no love for ic west? haha

When was the last time IC West beat groups like: Urbandale, Ankeny, Totino-Grace, CR Kennedy, CR Prairie, Bemidji. You only beat IC High in their horrible year (2005) but they came back to kill you last year. Yes, you usually have outstanding vocals, but you tend to lack in the choreography part of the scoresheet.... That's why I have not predicted West to make finals.

and everyone knows i like to argue for arguments sake, so if it sounds like i am hating on groups, it's not true.

Mr. Temple, this is Adam we are talking about, he knows everything, and has people everywhere
Serriously.
You can't get away from the kid, or keep show choir news away from him.

Well, this is the only group I've seen this year so far, and while it was only at their works in progress show, I have to say that unfortunately City high really didn't impress me this year. Of course it was early, but part of the reason they did so well last year, and didnt do well in 05 was their vocals, which were definately below par at that early junction this year. Also, the song selection this year is somewhat puzzling in my opinion. Of course they still will have great energy and good dancing, but I think it is more likely for this year to be more reminiscent of 2005 for city high, which is sad to me because i really like to see them do well.

That's sad. Hopefully they have it together for competition time.

QUOTE(Mr. Temple @ Dec 13 2006, 09:05 AM) 372046
Adam....I don't expect you to out your contact, but since we haven't performed our show for the public yet the only people that would have seen any part of it are alumni of our group.
