I believe Wheaton North will be here too. According to their Twitter and Facebook they are attending. Is there a schedule yet?

Woa... Okay I am thinking this competition is gonna be stellar

There a lot of groups going to this competition that have impressive track records and I would bet that neither of them will go down without a fight. This competition will be one to look out for as a few "show choir titans", as I like to call them, have some hefty competition on their hands.

Okay, here's what I'm thinking for finalists. Why not?

Prospect "Mixed Company":

an Illinois group that has had wonderful success over the past few years and also has some killer show concepts.

Buffalo Grove "The Expressions":

In my opinion, BG has established itself as a threat. Their band is very solid and their vocals consistently show maturity with solo and ensemble voices.

Waubonsie Valley "Sound Check":

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure WV has gone undefeated through their last 10 competitions. Hehe Sound Check truly has some unmatched vocals in the realm of show choir, and what I like most about the group is their style. THEY HAVE SO MUCH FUN ON STAGE. It seems that many audiences are encapsulated by Sound Check and I am very confident in them making finals.

Carmel "The Ambassadors":

Alright, so after doing my homework I discovered that John Burlace, former director of Wheaton Warrenville South, is the new director for "The Ambassadors". Additionally, his choreographer is Dwight Jordan. OHMYGAWD - this is crazy! Any Indiana high school show choir-er could tell you that Carmel has always been one of the best. Their style was a little more traditional than most Illinois choirs, but I can bet that both Burlace and Jordan will not disappoint.

Glenwood "Titan Fever":

Glenwood took the show choir world by surprise last year at the 2014 Mt. Zion invite when they placed above a show choir powerhouse (hehehe) - Wheaton Warrenville South. AND they did it again in 2015! Props to y'all. I haven't yet seen their 2015 show, but I bet its fantastic!

Madison Central "Reveille":

Madison Central has been breaking through as a great competitor in the Southern states. I think they may have a lot to say while creeping up a little north in Illinois for this competition!

Wow, that was a long post. Anyway! Can't wait to see how this competition unfolds! Competitors, show 'em what show choir can mean to you. Good luck, friends!!

The more intriguing thing with Carmel is seeing what they look like under new direction. I think it'll be exciting.

And new choreographers!

I don't really know how 1RU-3RU will go though because of Carmel's off year. I hope it doesn't affect them.
I wouldn't worry too much due to their "off year." It's not like they weren't doing anything choral related. If I remember correctly, I think Carmel had a pretty big Europe trip last season? Can't really remember.
