Women Tier I was: Elkhorn South, Millard N, and then Lincoln Northeast

I feel like I might be opening a can of worms... but does anyone know the women's/prep results?

I'm not entirely sure about the rest of the placements, but I do know that Elkhorn South's Shockwave was in first, with Millard North's Illumination in second.

Slowly but surely, the results are trickling in!

I know for sure that Elkhorn South was first in women. Prep results were 1-Elkhorn, 2- Elkhorn south,3- Millard north

Thanks, Steph!

But in all seriousness, I tried to piece this together based on comments... and I appreciate the humor, Jay. Very funny given this mess of a competition. It certainly doesn't look very good on Gretna's part. I mean, 7 finalists is already a lot, but then a scoring error adds an 8th... EIGHT?! Bizarre.

The way that I heard is
GC: Elkhorn (which by the way this really excites me because I love a good upset )
1RU: Millard North
2RU: Elkhorn South
3RU: GINW
4RU: Blair
5RU: Lincoln NE
6RU: Ralston ( They used to be so good )
7RU: York

The placements are correct! Elkhorn got Best Vocals and Best Female Soloist, Elkhorn South got Best Band and Best Choreography, and I'm 99% sure that GINW got Best Male Soloist.

asian_with_rice told me that he was actually at the competition, and that his captions along with the above placements are correct...

The actual caption awards were Elkhorn Excel won Best Costumes, Vocals, and Female Soloist. Elkhorn south blackout got best choreography and band.

I am so tempted to just post a random order of results with random captions just to mix things up more

What was Gretna's show like?

Elkhorn South got Best Vocals and Best Choreography and Elkhorn won Best Band, all in prelims. Millard North, however, was first in prelims.

This is what I was told as well from a friend who was there. This is a mess! Haha

This seems like a very unorganized messy competition
Someone please clarify what happened! And captions! And audience members-- I'm curious about the shows!

I've heard neither that Elkhorn South nor Millard North have gone down from previous years, but Excel has a killer show this year. A friend told me that it's toned-down rendition of Burbank 2012, with Elkhorn's own style and so on and so forth.

Correct. There were originally seven groups announced for finals. A scoring error in Blair Ovation's favor put them in finals as well.

I heard they let in eight finalists due to scoring errors.

I've seen tweets, including one from the official account of the Lincoln Northeast High Music Boosters, that Lincoln Northeast got 5RU.

So basically no one knows what the results here actually were.

Yikes... what happened here.

If anyone gets clarity... correct prelims results, captions, etc. let us know and we can post it. It sounds like a lot of confusion for Mixed Tier III among other things.

I don't think Blair was in finals. Wahoo bear Blair in prelims.
