well, i thought bird really deserved to win. you guys came back so strong after the last competition, so you winning was no surprise to me. and atlee won at hanover, so i expected them to get second, and midlo placing second was unexpected for me...i'm not sure why...but great job to everyone who placed!

First of all, congrats to LC Bird for sweeping the event. You all deserved that, and I could not think of another group I would be prouder to come in second to. That said, YAY JUST FOR SHOW!! That was my last show choir competition ever, and it was so great for my group to come away with a trophy (and me, too...hehe...showmanship). Everyone really kicked it up this weekend, though, so you all deserve congrats for being awesome. GREAT JOB EVERYONE!

*Megan <>< (if anyone saw us, I was Midlo's mixed group's terrible opening soloist...yea, I'll admit it ).

Same Here. Is this the first year your school has had a schow choir and what time do thew perform.

Hey Elmo,
We perform two choirs before you. We're the 2nd after lunch, I believe you are fourth.

No, our show choir isn't new. In fact, it used to be HUGE in this area. It's not really professional of me to say what happened to the department. Let's just say we're building things back up to the way it should be. This is my first year at Menchville. I really love show choir and am hoping to build something really dynamite at MHS. Lord knows I have wonderfully talented and dedicated students, so it shouldn't be too hard! I'm really pleased with the show we've put together, and I just hope it comes off the way it should!

Again, good luck. I know you'll do fabulous!

I can check my line up at school tomorrow, but I believe both of those show choirs are going.  You have left off a few show choirs from your line up.

Elmo, is Ross your choreographer?  I know he has a third school that is not in Newport News...I was thinking that he said in rehearsal today that it was Meadowbrook.

Good luck to everyone this weekend.  Menchville is looking forward to joining the competition scene, and learning lots from the veteran show choirs.  We expect to see GREAT things from everyone this weekend!

Elmo,
I checked my line up today. Varina is going. I will double check on James River for you. I thought it was Clover Hill you had asked about, and I looked for them instead.

Looking forward to learning lots from some DYNAMITE show choirs!
