I know a handful of groups at fort's showcase just ask for their scores and comments but withdraw their potential for finals, making their prelim results unseeable by the other groups.

I see you didn't list De Pere "Jam Session" ... does that mean they withdrew and didn't actually compete?

I feel like this happened once 2 years ago when we competed in Wisconsin. I wondered where their score was. Maybe they just ask to do comments only?!?!?

I can't confirm if they performed or not but I can confirm that their score was not on the sorted summary of preliminary results.

They performed.

I just saw a video of Hastings, and from what I can see, they were AMAZING! A job well done and their win was very well deserved. All the other choirs were very good as well, and I think over all this was a very great competition!

Hastings without a doubt deserved grand champions. Their ballad was absolutely stunning and received a standing ovation from a few of the other competing show choirs. This competition is one of the best ones I've witnessed in a LONG time.
All the show choirs in finals were fantastic. I'm a little surprised the Judges put GCS as high as they did. I personally thought Naperville, Fort, and Kennedy were stronger overall. But nonetheless great job to all.

Thank you to Onalaska for a great invitational! Everyone was so nice and polite. From the beginning with our lovely hosts to the end with a hilltopper wishing us a safe bus drive home. It's was a great day and congrats to all performing groups!

Are these captions for the Prep or Mixed divisions? I see that People's Choice is clearly for a prep group, but with school names for the others I'm not positive.

Results were for whole day, including all prep and varsity. The soloists awards and band are varsity.

This is another competition that really makes me frustrated because there are SOO many good groups that should be making finals... I feel like people just assume that groups who don't make finals are automatically not good but its blood-bath competitions like this one that makes it so hard to make it into finals if you aren't a group that consistently places GC-2RU at any given competition. I would love to go this comp but I will be at Waukee because it's close! Good luck to all groups competing and just know that if you don't make finals-- you still have an outstanding show to be very proud of.

Sure to be wrong prediction!

GC: Hastings (Sweep)
1RU: Bemidji
2RU: GCS
3RU: Bloomington Kennedy
4RU: Naperville
5RU: Fort

That video of Hastings' ballad was simply stunning. Wish I could see them live this year! Best of luck to everyone competing!

Fort is super good this year. They will make finals. Guaranteed.
