Greetings! We are excited to be hosting our 7th annual Muscatine "River City Showcase" Show Choir Invitational held at the fantastic 1,200 seat Muscatine Performing Arts Center on Saturday, January 17h, 2015 (a week earlier to avoid speech conflicts). The auditorium, complete with balcony seating, is large and has wonderful acoustics - something most "big gym" competitions can't provide. It is truly a fantastic venue for show choirs of all sizes to perform! The early competition date also provides a great chance for valuable feedback from our highly qualified critique and competition judges before beginning the rest of your competition season!
This competition is open to high school show choirs of all sizes. All groups will compete in their individual classes during the day, and the top six scorers will compete in the evening finals. Throughout the day there will also be opportunities for soloists to compete in our solo competition.
This year, if interest allows, we would also like to host a Middle School Division with the 1st place middle school choir presenting their show as an exhibition performance before the high school finals begin.
