i feel like the best band caption could go to urby, prairie, or linnmar because each of the bands are stellar. prairies band doesnt do well in gyms for some reason so itll probably be between urby and linnmar (im hoping linnmar because they ar GOOD!)


I think linn mars band will win because they do some many different types of songs and they do it amazingly

ugh! my excitement level has grown tenfold after yesterday for this competition and its only 6 days away! such a deep field... im looking forward to watching urbys and linnmars show because i havent seen urbys and i saw linnmar at fab 5 once. cant wait.

I can't wait to see IC West and Prairie, and i'll be honest I REALLY want IC West to win...

I think the top 3 Urbandale, Prairie and IC west are all going to be extremely close

and the bottom 3 Washington, Xavier and Linn Mar are going to be close extremely close.

my predictions from what I have heard/seen

Urbandale
CR prairie
Iowa city west
CR Washington
Linn mar
Xavier

vocal- Urbandale
Choreography - CR Prairie
Band- Linn mar (their band is amazing this year!!)

but this could seriously go any way... all 6 groups are having fantastic years and I can not wait for this, gonna be one of the best raise the roof's EVER! and plus it gives me a good reason to come home

I really loved watching Wash at Benton-that was some tight competition! Captions are going to be tough here, but I think:

Still really excited for this competition! I think I'll take a stab at prep predictions as well.

1st: Linn-Mar
2nd: IC West
3rd: CR Wash
4th: Urbandale
5th: Prairie
6th: Xavier

At Benton last night, Xuberance beat Celebration, and from what I heard, almost beat Showtime. Also, Xub. beat ignition, who beat Focal point at Waukee. I think it's gonna be a battle in the top six prep.

Prep division at Benton was very close from 2-4. Xubes was 1 ranking point ahead of Cele and Showtime was 2 ranking points ahead of Xuberance. I'm not sure what the division would've looked like had they kept it points, but I do know one judge had much different rankings than the other 3 and that did effect the results. Everyone is going to have to bring it at this competition because it is so deep!

1RU: Showtime (ICW)
2RU: Vitality (UD)
3RU: Celebration (CRW)
4RU: Xuberance (XV)
5RU: Focal Point (CRP)

I keep getting more and more excited for this competition every week! It's gonna be a real fight to come out on top with all 6 of the varsity groups having a grand championship under their belt after this weekend. Even the prep division will be a hard fought battle! I can't wait!

Jordan I am gonna disagree with puttin prairie 5ru they have amazing vocals and I was very impressed with them at big dance! And I was very impressed with celebration at Linn mar!

Linn-Mar won at Monona Grove so that makes 6 out of 6 varsity groups that have a GC. Now the question is, who is the best? ;)

Prediction:
GC: Prairie (BC)
1RU: City West (BV)
2RU: LM (BB)
3RU: Urbandale
4RU: Washington
5RU: Xavier

It will be reay close and I am very excited to come see this competition! Really any of the 6 could take it!

GC: Urbandale (BV, BB)
1RU: Prairie
2RU: Linn Mar (BC)
3RU: ICW
4RU: Wash
5RU: Xavier

Could go a number of ways, Prairie could sneak a BV and I could see a ICW best choreo happen.
Any of the top four could take it. Not so sure about Washington or Xavier.

Prairie and Iowa City West could also take on Urbandale for GC because they're having a pretty solid season so far. Washington could also jump up in placements, and so could Xavier. CRAZY!!! Buttttt I guess we will just have to wait and see!
