That is assuming Donelson Christian is as good as they were last year.

2RU- Enterprise "Esprit"

Every year it seems like there is one group that seemingly "comes out of nowhere." So I would not be surprised at all if this proves accurate. I really enjoyed their show last year. I felt like they had a lot of raw talent!

After seeing Oak Mountain at Vestavia yesterday, I stand by my statement 100%. I know they are still trying to find the right balance for their diction, but that is something every choir is always doing. They have the most mature sound I've ever heard from an Alabama show choir (any concert choir either), with the exception of maybe some of Albertville's stronger years (this year probably being their strongest). Albertville will also be VERY successful this year. This is probably their best show in years (great story, great set, amazing vocals, and high energy choreography, especially in the closer). Since 2011, I have NEVER thought any southern group was going to come within 20 points of Clinton, but this year, both should come much closer than that. I know it's not all about winning or beating Clinton, and the fact that everyone wants to beat them shows just how good they are at what they do. But this year, the South Central Classic will be very interesting (assuming the judges are fair to Albertville. They are notorious for "not liking" them, even in years when they were closer to a traditional show choir).

The Saturday schedule has been posted above. When someone gets the middle school schedule either post it here or create a separate discussion and that can be added as well.

Yes. They made finals at Abertville and Enterprise, and even snagged best vocals from Homewood last year.

i'm expecting great things from Oak Mountain this year. I think they will place higher than most people think.

I think these predictions are pretty accurate, but I wouldn't count Sj out. I have a friend from there and their show seems to be fantastic!

Chris Wilson did great things for Oak Mountain and I expect the same from SJ. It's just one of those things where I won't believe it till I see it, you know?

I got a message today from a friend today who had seen the schedule! He only told me large mixed, and I told him to send me the full schedule when he got a chance. So I'll post the full schedule later. As for now, large mixed groups are:

Clinton "Attache"
South Jones "Company"
Albertville "CenterStage!"
Enterprise "Encores"
Oak Mountain "Con Brio"
Jackson Prep "Revellion"
Madison Central "Revielle"
Opelika "Ovations"

Predictions:
GC- Clinton (BV, BC, BB, tie for best show)
1RU- Madison Central
2RU- Albertville (tie for best show)
3RU- Jackson Prep
4RU- South Jones/Enterprise

-non finalist-

5RU- South Jones/Enterprise
6RU- Opelika
7RU- Oak Mountain

.

I think these predictions are pretty accurate, but I wouldn't count Sj out. I have a friend from there and their show seems to be fantastic!

I think Clinton coming off of a loss is going to make them stronger than ever. Madison Central was great last year and I think they're only going to get better, so I predict them to place high. Albertville hasn't been here since 2011, so I'm interested in seeing how well they will do here. I saw a member list for Jackson Prep and the group seems smaller this year AND they only had like 12 guys I think I counted. I hope their vocal balance is good. My biggest problem was choosing between South Jones and Enterprise. South Jones has a new director, who came from Oak Mountain. If Chris Wilson has done good things for SJ I predict to see them in finals. It is Enterprise's 2nd year with their new director, and I think if they're choreo is like traditional Enterprise choreo, then we'll see them in finals. I give Enterprise the slight edge. I left Oak Mountain out because of them having a new director that I am not sure came from a previous show choir or not. Opelika also got a new director either last year or the year before, and they have slowly been getting back into the normal Ovations we used to see.

I know I've posted a lot of competition forums recently, lol. But I'm so excited for the South Central Classic since I'll be there! Who all will be there?
