Thanks, Mr. McCoy! It's all been posted above. Major props to Hastings on the sweep, Findlay for representing Ohio, and Craig for taking the final qualifying spot here at Branson!

Folks can also go back and watch the Branson live feed as many times as you want!

How does everyone feel about the lighting? Does it add to or distract from the show?

For me it distracted. I want to watch the show, not the lighting in the background.

I just shivered during Hastings' ENTIRE ballad. And then started crying. Wow. What a sound!
This is my favorite Hastings Ballad of all time! I love it!

Link to the pretty decent livestream: http://www.showchoirs.org/live.html
I had no idea that FAME did live streams for their regional competitions. I thought the only live feed that FAME had was the one for Nationals (and that one you have to pay for)...

So this what happens when my choir gets out of the midwest region: I don't know the choirs!

So how does FAME work now? Back in the day (which was a Wednesday, by the way), they were just a series of invitationals meant to bring choirs from around the country together

It's largely the same, except that each of FAME's different events now act as "regional qualifiers" for their big throwdown in April; the top three groups at each one are invited to participate. Whereas they used to call one FAME event the "cup" each year, now there is just one definitive competition in Chicago that they call the national championships. The idea is that the best of the best are culled from each of the qualifiers and then you end up with a massive super competition at the end, but of course not every group participates in the FAME series and so you're still left with something that isn't exactly an end-all national championship event. Their idea is solid, though, and I give them credit for making it happen - these events take a lot of resources and energy to run and they have been consistent with it for years now. They do tend to run on the costly side, however, and I know not everyone wants to go to Chicago every year, so the likelihood that you're going to end up with all of the best groups in the country there every single year is slim to none. Still, there have been exciting nationals at the end and with different groups attending, it keeps things fresh and fun.

I like these, except you have to include Janesville Craig in there. At least Top 4, but I probably have them 3rd. Very solid show.

Also gonna go out on a limb here and predict Hastings with Best Vocals

idk... hastings with best vocals seems like a big stretch ;)
