Wow, what a great show everyone put on. We went at 8:25 AM and pretty much caught everyone after us. I was very impressed by all the groups.

Marysville -- You guys impressed me the most with your vocal difficulty. You sang in 5-part harmonies while dancing verses like you danced dance breaks. It was awesome, and I loved it. The ballad was my favorite, and the solo was fantastic. Great job, you guys should be so proud. You were so awesome.

Piqua -- I loved your costumes, and you were very visually impressive. I liked the pink a lot, it was really cool ... and I loved the girl's shoes in the costume change. Wow, they were sweet. Your vocals were very good as well, and I just overall really enjoyed your show. Congratulations on your win - well deserved .

Fairfield -- I liked the song selection and variety a lot, and I liked the featured section of boys and girls during the ballad, I thought that was cool and different. Your vocals were very solid throughout the entire show. My favorite however was the closer. The songs mixed so well together and the arrangment and choreography was so good. It was honestly my favorite song I saw all day. Great job , you made me smile.

Solon -- Very impressive, as always. You had a great show this year and really got well awarded for it, so congratulations! Euclid loves you guys and you know it. Oh, and your ballad is amazing .

Winfield -- I really liked your show and was mad I couldn't see the 8-part a capella section, I cheered loudly for it and was pissed off when the audience wanted to see the dance break, lol. You guys were incredibly impressive vocally and visually. I can't wait to see your show next year -- you guys are always one of my favorites.

Yay -- so that's all for now. I'm so tired, haha. Oh and I'm very happy that the judges didn't completely forget about us and awarded us Judge's Choice . What a great competition. Congratulations everyone!

Fairfield- I was not a fan of them during the daytime. but they definitely had a better show at night and i actually sorta liked them at night. but the guys and girls only sing together for 40 or 50 measures at the end of the ballad, which i didn't like too much. and their closer was cool but had a really awkward ending. and the DJ thing would have been a lot cooler if he had actually done something

What is Fairfields show this year???

QUOTE(WinnLoff @ Feb 27 2005, 01:15 AM)
Piqua - I actually liked your show and was pretty impressed.  i liked a lot of the songs in your show and i thought that you should have placed in the top 3.  but why did the soloist take off her yellow shoes when she started singing her solo?
318094

She took off her shoes!!! I dont think I have ever heard of anyone taking off there shoes during a song. I have only seen it ones when a girls heel broke during the show...

well i was there and i thought those were some crazy results. the only group that i predicted right was marion harding to get 6th. i had all the other groups placed in different ranks. Of course, it was all up in the air, the top 5 groups had to have been really close cuz they were all really good

Marysville has a bomb show and they were choreographically together the entire time. I thought they would place a lot higher though. I really enjoyed their show the entire time.

Solon had a good show but I have seen them a ton of times this year and even though they had a good performance, i was sorta sick of seeing them all together (no offense, but i've seen you on 5 different occasions)

Marion Harding ... I don't even know what to say

Medina- you sound good during the majority of your show but your choreography has not been clean at all this year. it sorta looks like you just learned it yesterday. and it honestly amazes me that you placed so high. you had a good ballad though. but i'm unsure of why you recieved the award for best male soloist

& finally...
Piqua - I actually liked your show and was pretty impressed. i liked a lot of the songs in your show and i thought that you should have placed in the top 3. but why did the soloist take off her yellow shoes when she started singing her solo?

LOL umm no I wasnt but I have seen every group that is there except Fairfield but I know that they are a pretty amazing group.  So I'm sorry if anyone disagrees but thats what I think should have happend based on previous performances.  but I'm sure every group did an amazing job!!!

Were you there?  Not being accusatory, just wondered.

I, too, really liked Marysville's show this year.  However, I haven't seen a single other group who was there, with the exception of Twinsburg, so I'm in no position to pass judgement.

EDIT:  Added a very signifigant "no."

Thats really sad to see Marysville place so low!! They are amazing this year I think they at least should have gotten 3rd even 2nd runner up!!

If I ran the show choir world it would have gone like this!!

GC-Fairfeild (vocals)
1st- Piqua
2nd- Marysville (choreo)
3rd-Medina
4th-Solon
5th- Marion Harding

But saddly I dont and I really wouldn't want to run the show choir world too much drama!!!!

Piqua's vocals are better than Fairfield's this year. Fairfield has been a favorite in the past, but Piqua deserved the win.
(I was not there, but I have seen both groups this year.)

I have not seen Medina's show this year, but I have heard good things. Congrats to all the groups, this must have been a very difficult competition. It was quite an accomplishment to make finals.

PS - Yeah Solon!
