I can believe a judge would have kennedy or even muscatine in first place! They both gave amazing performances and they deserved it just as much as we did but thats not the way the judges scored it that night. I don't believe a judge purposely made sure we got one 2nd place because I don't believe any one of them would less their integrity just for that.

Kennedy- 2, 2, 2, 1, 3
Muscatine- 3, 3, 3, 3, 2
Davenport North- 4, 6, 5, 4, 5
CR Ken Protege- 5, 4, 6, 6, 4
Bettendorf- 6, 5, 4, 5, 6

POINTS:
Prairie- 1008
Kennedy- 970
Muscatine- 952
Davenport North- 867.5
CR Ken Protege- 865.5
Bettendorg- 842

For those of you thinking that one judge was just crazy for having Kennedy in first because they were 38 points behind, most judges know that their points will be converted to rankings and score based on that information. For example I know of a few judges (none at this competition) who decide who is first and score them 10s in everything and 2nd would get 9s in everything and so on.

I just want to say congratulations to Cedar Rapids Kennedy "Happiness Inc." for giving 2 amazing performances and giving us a great run for our money! You helped us prove that Cedar Rapids is the powerhouse of show choir! P.S. I saw Kennedy's night show and you guys absolutely killed it yesterday!

i heard a lot of hype about muscatine and it was well deserved their vocals were stellar except diction in some areas of their show! i'm happy that groups are trying the story shows this year and there are a few that are really pulling it off well and muscatine is one of them. thuroughly enjoyed their show! congrats to them on the 3rd tonight, i personally thought you were our main competition after watching you in the prelims
Thanks- we've actually been doing theme/story shows for five years now.

2010- Dark to Light
2011- Around The World Show
2012- Hello, Dolly.
2013- Romeo & Juliet
2014- Red & Billy

Great River was fantastic as always- Congrats to all groups. Thanks to our wonderful hosts- Central and West!

FUN FACT- Muscatine attended the first show choir competition held in Davenport- "Cross Town Revelry" hosted by all 3 high schools at Davenport West.

I believe I was there.
