This show choir Dad has so enjoyed my years of bumping around the competition circuit watching some amazing students put their best foot forward every weekend. With my last child graduating, that era has come to an end and I know I'll miss some of it. (The early bus rides, and hours of bleacher seating...no way) But the commaraderie with parents from ours and other programs, the walking tacos, and the fun cheers I'll miss. I'll keep sending my students up to the high school and try to kindle their passion for performing but it will feel a little different from now on. So thanks for all you've done people to make this an amazing community for my kids to thrive within. Keep singing, keep working hard in all you do. And to quote April James from when she accepted the Aspire award at Fame last year, "Don't let the opinion of the five people with the score sheets determine your worth." Congrats to all the performers today - Wisconsin has tons of talent! Thanks again!

Sioux Falls Washington's "Classic Connection" and "Natural Selection" are not attending because we were on our way out last night and got as far as Albert Lea. We felt the road conditions were to brutal to continue going to the competition so we decided to turn around and not attend due to safety. Also, our girls group is "Natural Selection" because in previous years it was "Stagelights" but that group ended a few years back, right before I entered high school. Then last year, as there was a huge growth in our choral program, we decided to add a prep group, but didn't want to use the name "Stagelights" as we wanted to be original and unique.

Should be a great day of Wisconsin show choir!! Wish I could be there!

Predictions!

GC: La Crosse Central (BV,BC)
1st RU: Onalaska (BB)
2nd RU: La Crosse Logan
3rd RU: Neenah
4th RU: Monona Grove
5th RU: Eau Claire Memorial

Also wouldnt count out Preble. Alot of these groups are of the same caliber so I could totally see 3-6 turn out any way. It just all depends on who wants it the most.

Good Luck everyone!!

Sorry to hear that. I've removed the SF Washington groups from the event above. Also on the first page, it was mentioned that Turner HS is in a different division… and that the times have changed… anyone have anything? C'mon, Brodhead, get on it!

Confirmed....SF Washington is a scratch due to weather and interstate closures. We tried but had to turn around. So sad to miss it. Long ride home.

Well it's official the roads are closed and SF Washington is going home and not competing this Saturday, and trust me, I am extremely sad and angry about it

Bet ur not riding a bus as long as i am (9 hours) but besides the "I will not sleep because I can" feeling I am beyond pumped for the Washington groups to unleash our show on everyone with some much needed improvements and additions. Get ready for your sock to be blown off (yes that is the only thing I could of because I'm saving brain power for the competition)

Yes there are! This is going to be crazy! That's why I don't feel comfortable making any predictions because all of mine would be biased at best. Not discouraging anyone to make predictions though. I'd love to see what people are thinking! But anyway... t-minus 3 days till #show choirThrowDown (I liked this and decided to steal it sorry) I hope to see most of these great groups!

Feel free!!! Obviously I liked it too hahaha

I am SO EXCITED FOR THIS COMPETITION!!!!

Beloit is not going to be Class A for this competition according to Brodhead director. The times have been adjusted also, not for everyone but for some in the morning.
Would you or anyone else be willing to post this new schedule?
