im not sure if i agree with all of the finalists... but i saw every group that made it except hurricane... and they were all good... but none were too outstanding... i would bet that the scores were extremly close... but about manchester... they had a very good blend in their vocals... but i did not understand a word the said their entired show... and not because of the band... i mean there was no diction... on a scale of 1-10 i would give them a 2 there band was too loud... and show didnt make sense to me or anyone i watched it with... and cant exactly remember anything on their choreo because all the groups started to look the same to me because i was so tired.

i also would have had long beach in second or 3rd between them or albertville... i didnt think from waht i saw in pre-lims that opelika would have made finals... and maybe not even south jones... but congrats everyone i loved getting to see all of the southern choirs

I hate to keep beating a dead horse, but CONGRATS OPELIKA!!! Your show this year was awesome, and you well deserved a final. And considering that Belmont is one of the biggest competitions in the South you really represented yourselves. CONGRATS!!!

And, WOW... Manchester not in finals... interesting.

Great job this weekend to all Groups...i really had no clue what groups would be annouced for finals after seeing all of them. And I have to add that I was seriously upset that Manchester and Homewood did not make finals b/c I thought they should have. But then again all the groups in finals did an amazing job. Congrats to Mary Miller from Homewood your solo was awesome! and Congrats to Caleb from Albertville for winning best solo within a show out of all the shows of the day and then again in Finals! What a great weekend! Way to go Southern Groups! And Opelika...def. the best I had seen yall this year. After yall performed in Pre-lims I knew yall had made Finals! WAY TO GO!!!

yes south and opelika are the other way around

oh..... and about manchester...... i didn't get to see them but.... what i have heard is that they sang very well but the combo COMPLETLY overpowered their singing in the opener and most of the rest of the show. i hear their balad was SUUUPPPPEEEERRRRRR goooodd!!!!! So probly the reason that they didn't do as well is because their band was soooo good but bad at the same time by overpowering their vocals.... idk

oh... i thought i'd throw in another bit of info....

best solo in a show (prelims)- Caleb Mathews
best solos in a show (finals)- Caleb Mathews and Tracy Rogers

....hmm...sad day.....anyways - MANCHESTER...i love you guys! y'all definately won in my book! i don't know what was up with some of the judging...but y'all 100% should have been in finals

oh yeah...just in case anyone is interested homewood's scores were 92, 91, 88, and.....71? ...i mean...i hate to complain....but when one of your scores is 20 points off from the other 3....there's something weird going on...on the positive side: great job network! it was definately the best we've done so far this year...we can only do what we can do and then it's left up to the judges..and well...enough said

HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO MARY MILLER...winner of the female solo competition...you sounded AWESOME ......the guy winner was from Manchester (haha i find it ironic that the two solo finalists were from the 2 choirs that didn't make finals...way to represent!)
