I have a copy, but what I have must be the incorrect version because it had the results clearly in the original order given. I also know that the "Supernova" rules had a bunch of provisions for tie breakers, but I'm guessing that they figure what's the point of breaking the tie now.

I heard they found out one of the judge's composite scores had Ankeny Centennial and Hastings switched accidentally. When they undid the switch it ended up with them being tied. I'm sure there are ways to break the tie, but it's pretty customary to let those announced keep their placings. I don't mind the tie. I think we can guess Hastings would win the tiebreaker based on winning Best Vocals, but I'm not exactly sure. Does Hastings still win vocals and Ankeny still win choreo with the switched scores?

Holy Crap! Does anyone have the full line up of ranking scores for finals then? I'd like to see them!

There was a scoring error in Finals - both Ankeny Centennial and Hastings actually tied for First Runner Up. It's been updated above and I just wanted to post real quick so everyone's on the same page.

Oh thanks haha I thought I had seen him, but I didn't really pay attention till finals cause I wanted to say hi!

Heath was listed as a judge in the program, so that might've been where you "saw" him. I was also sad not to see him!

Ankeny actually had 1, 1, 1, 1 (tie), 3, 5 while City High had 1 (tie), 2, 2, 2, 2, 2. City High won by 1 ranking point! It was super super close. The first two and bottom two placings were each separated by a point.

I have to say I also LOVED Davenport Central's show in day round. I thought they were a shoe-in for finals. They have so much energy and will have a FANTASTIC season this year.

Congrats to everyone who performed today! It was really an energetic and competitive day. Every single group was outstanding. Also thanks to Linn-Mar for being excellent hosts!

I'd like to make a correction to the Davenport Central streak. The streak of Central Singers Inc. not missing finals was started in 2006, as they missed finals twice that year (at Linn-Mar and Davenport North). After North's competition is when the group never missed finals.
Very interested to see the shows that came out of this competition!

Every time I see a choir win without vocals or choreo I think of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. The Irish will win but Krum will catch the snitch! Congrats Iowa City!
I love this!

Chris, Heath critiqued at Waukee all day! As far as I know, he was never at Supernova. I know he was the retinue judge for West at Waukee.

Just a quick question for someone who might be able to answer this cause I was curious about it all night, why was Heath Weber there in the day but not finals? I thought everyone judged adding the two critique judges into the mix.

Speaking of critique judges from what I was told is Ankeny had 1,1,1,3,5 and the 3 and the 5 came from the added judges.

This is the best Iowa City show I have ever seen and I personally had them in first after the day. And I even tell Jordan and Tanner, who I was sitting with, (before Ankeny went) I could see the winner walking away with no captions because of how close this competition was going to be.

This was hands down the best Supernova I've ever been to (10 years). All of the groups killed it in finals.

I knew whatever the results it had to be really close overall. I'd love to see a breakdown of rankings!

This is just crazy! Not that I don't agree with the results! In fact, it's the opposite! I watched the video on youtube of ICH show from premiere and based on that compared to what I saw last week at Hastings' win, I am not surprised that they won! At all! What gets me is that ICH got fourth last week with that performance and GC this week. And Hastings last week got GC and this week third. And I am just amazed at the ever changing and ever amazing groups that I get to see (via youtube) week after week. It's crazy. Like I get down on watching a bit of crazy football with my football loving family on thanksgiving weekend and all, but this show choir stuff makes my nerves tingle week after week with its ever changing ways. I would like to just take a second to love all of you people who make me feel like less of a nerd when I come on here to see how my high school show choir is doing! Because I haven't ever really felt so strongly and wonderfully about something in a competitive nature such as show choir. And people won't get it if you try to explain it and they weren't in it. But I have all of you! What a wonderful thing to be able to watch morph and change and grow and impress. I love it! Thanks everyone here at showchoir.com!

Astonishing. Ankeny's show was one of the ten best I've seen in my life.

Thanks Mr. McCoy for all your result posting - we appreciate it! This must be an incredibly awesome competition to be at! Bemidji hasn't missed Finals in several years if I'm remembering correctly and the Davenport Central streak Adam was talking about on the previous page ended too. Seriously just speaks to the quality of competition that this is. Enjoy finals everyone!
