Since you have been to both venues, does their stage setup compare to Fairfield? I have been to other competitions in a gym and have seen them set-up in the 'endzone' like Fairfield and also facing a side? Just curious.

Is it bad to hope that Lebanon will have the Wheaton live feed going in their cafeteria this weekend???

Wheaton has the "side" facing setup. It isn't the endzone feel like Fairfield has.

There's bleacher seating, and those are hard bench. There are also chairs which don't have much padding as well.

This event typically has a live stream that's view-able after the event ends, correct?
Yep, they did last year.

On the left side near the top of the page here, there is a link that says "event site." Click on that and there will be a link to the live stream on Wheaton's official competition webpage.

Thanks

How does one find the "live feed" when the time comes? I am novice at such things and really want to at least enjoy seeing finals of such an epic competition. Help anyone?

Everybody watch out for papio south! They are amazing this year. They were right behind westside at their first comp, then beat Millard West and snagged the Grand Champs trophy. I wouldn't be surprised if they made finals here. If you get the chance GO WATCH THEM!! Great show! Great group of people!
I don't know about show because I haven't seen it, but I do know about people!!! Go get 'em Emily and Aaron!

Okay. Well I don't normally do this, but why not.

Predictions
GC- Waubonsie (BV)
1st- Burbank (BC)
2nd- Buffalo Grove

I think these three are sure.

The last three are gonna be a fight between Mitchell, Mt. Zion, Solon, Prospect, and Omaha.
Maybe even throw Auburn into the mix. I haven't seen them in a while though.

Best Band: Solon/Mt.Zion
I say Mt. Zion because they took BB from Wheaton.

Personally, I can't even begin to imagine the difficulty the judges will have. Every group at this competition have a chance of doing exceptionally well. I guess it will all depend who's gonna be in it to win it. But also, Show Choir is all good fun

Edit: I know this may seem a bit bias, but I only mention MTZ because they normally do decently here.
Edit 2: Awk. This is why I don't post, Haha. Back to silence. Good luck to everyone! Can't wait to see the competition!

I am feeling bold and am going to do the unthinkable: predict the placements of everyone in the mixed division.

1) Burbank “In Sync”
2) Waubonsie Valley “Sound Check”
3) Buffalo Grove “The Expressions”
4) Mitchell “Friend de Coup”
5) Solon “Music in Motion”
6) Mt. Zion “Swingsations”

7) Omaha Westside “ATSC”
8) Prospect “Mixed Company”
9) Papillion-La Vista South “Titanium”
10) Auburn “Varsity Singers”
11) Decatur “Elite Energy”
12) Milton “Choralation”
13) Neenah “Vintage”
14) Eldorado “Gold Rush”

Vocals: Waubonsie Valley "Sound Check"
Choreography: Burbank "In Sync"
Band: Solon "Music in Motion"

Let the thumbs down commence! Haha. Please don't take these too seriously; I understand that many people think predictions are dumb, pointless, and a waste of time. But, so are funny Youtube videos. Sometimes we just can't pass them up

*applauds efforts*
