Jess from Fairfield, wish we could have spent a little more time visiting but I know how rushed and busy competitions can be. Maybe we can see you Saturday at Twinsburg!! Was it last year that I stopped you in the hallway and introduced myself? Was it your show that had the wall of fog or was that Piqua? Do you get to sing solos at some of the comps?

Winfield's show choir stayed for the finals performances to support everyone and to give our group a chance to see all the choirs they were unable to see during prelims. Findlay, I was amazed! What fantastic talent you have! Do you have the english interpretation of your ballad? I was on my feet applauding along with everyone else at its completion. I enjoyed the other choirs as well.

Thanks to Teays Valley for an awesome comp.!!! You are always so gracious. Kudos to the dads who were directing traffic going into the gym and coming out. You had everything under control. I was one of the mom's helping with Winfield's backdrop transport into the gym.

....didn't Gahanna Lincoln not make finals at Findlay?

Yes. Finalists from Findlay were Columbia City (Heat and Lights), Luers, Brush, and Edgewood. None of those groups were at Teays. Gahanna also performed REALLY early at Findlay, so I think that had something to do with them not placing well there.

Having only participated in three show choir competitions to date, I have to say that this was the most friendly and well organized that we have attended. We had the best homeroom hosts that a choir could ask for!! We were also very pleased to have walked away with two nice awards (Festival Grand Champions and Best Choreography). Thank you to Teays Valley for such a positive experience for us in our first year of real competition. We will definately be back next year!! Go Northernaires!!

Thanks to Teays Valley for hosting such an awesome, well run competition. The commentators between shows kept the crowds entertained and made it more of an enjoyable "show", than a stressful competition. The student hosts were helpful and polite, and I felt at ease asking anyone of them for directions to getting around the school. I like that they were dressed almost as if they were attending a ball of some sort. Everyone room I looked in, and ours was no exception, the Teays Valley students had out done themselves in decorating. The yellow-shirted parents were cheerful as they assisted our crew in moving our equipment and heading on stage. My only regret was they ran out of cookies at 4 o' clock. Thank you again for all the hard work that was put into to the competition.

Going first as anithradia said let us relax and enjoy watching the shows, for they truly were enjoyable. I particularly loved the ballet style of Gahanna-Lincoln show, their lifts were strong, and kudos for having a small group and competing with the 40+ groups. Every member on stage truly looked like they were enjoying themselves, any dead face in the group seemed nonexistent and it made me happy just to watch them having fun. One of the groups in finals had jets of steam/dry ice stuff and the guys faded back into it and when the jets stopped *poof* there was the girls, very neat effect. Congrats to all the great choirs that competed yesterday, I hope everyone is having a good year.

Just so everyone knows I haven't seen any shows, but Piqua's and Beavercreek's. First of all, congrats Findlay ^.^ Still haven't seen your show, but it must be pretty good. Secondly, congrats to Twinsburg on their 1st RU; see ya next weekend. ^.^ Piqua! Nice! Got the 2nd RU, didn't see the show this time however. And us.... Well, it's kinda disappointing that we placed 3rd RU ecspecially since I felt the energy from the show 1000 times better in the evening than the morning... What can ya do? I guess we'll do better at Twinsburg. Medina and Gahanna Lincoln did very nice placing in 4th and 5th RUs, Respectively. I'd like to give some props to Beavercreek even though they didn't make finals; Fairfield's rootin' for ya! ^.^

Anyway, Congrats to FFE for getting all the captions in the evening.

My last note, does anyone have the site where the pictures could be found? If so that'd be great.

Congrats once again, to all Groups in the comp.

As Anthradia said, the point margin was fairly large (possibly 50-odd points *wink wink*), but none of us knew that going into the finals. In the finals, we didn't win by such a huge margin...

I also wanted to say that Fairfield was absolutely AMAZING. I loved your ballad. Every single person that I could see told the story sooo well. It was great.

As a whole, every group that I saw did very well. Congratulations to everyone!

anyone know the full results from the day? Final results were a bit different then I thought they'd be after I watched everyone...but I guess you never can tell anymore. Congrates to all the groups that made finals, along with Winfield, Beavercreek, Northrop, and my old school Martinsburg...I could have seen all 4 of those in finals in place of those that did....such a tough line up
