Gonna be a truly great competition that could go SO many different ways! Between this and Wheaton on the same day, two "tough as nails" invitationals for people to choose from.
Is your friend named Josh (if you remember for sure)? And feel free to come talk to anyone from our group! We like making friends
Hey that's my brother! And I would love to make friends! Come say hi! I play alto sax!
Looking forward to seeing my fellow trumpet player friend from Marysville. Hopefully he is still there. Marysville students have always been friendly while at the same time our nemesis. Here's to both of us having our best shows and seeing who comes out on top.

As the author of what prompted this post, my feelings are not hurt about the down votes. Frankly I did not even look at that until Jeff pointed it out. I am excited that my post seems to have gotten people thinking.
I do not even have any tie to Show Choir any longer. I answered family friends last night who asked why I was posting. I grew intrigued by Show Choir in our time serving the community. I am still interested and obviously follow it to an extent. Thus my desire to post a prediction about this event.
In my opinion this is why forums, such as this exist, to encourage opinion and discussion. This is what makes our country great is places which allow discourse. Haakon leave it alone. This is the very reason you allowed open forums on showchoir.com. My 2 cents.
And this is the kind of maturity y'all are asking for. Very well said, sir. I wish everyone could be that easy-going about those little thumbs.
I'm not sure down votes/red is synonymous with "hate." You can either "like" a post or "dislike" a post and perhaps some people disagreed that Marysville's undefeated streak or Loveland's strong season can top Franklin Central. Obviously it would be great if folks would share their thoughts on why they disagree, but I'm not sure that it's a completely broken system altogether.

I sure hope haakon comes up with something to stop all this hate on predictions. Just because someone dosen't put your school where you want it dosen't mean they deserve to be downvoted into oblivion
It bothers me too, Garret, but I think as the site has grown people are just using it in different ways. If someone said "Clinton is an awful choir," I would downvote that. If someone put, I dunno, Albertville above Clinton in a prediction - even though Clinton has never lost to Albertville and perhaps it doesn't seem realistic - I wouldn't downvote that. It's a prediction - it's not wrong (it's someone's opinion), and it's not spiteful or rude. I completely agree with Jeff, though, that all parties should elaborate on their thoughts as to why they are predicting things the way they are (or responding to a post through use of the like/dislike system). Conversation is what makes this place cool to begin with.
What I actually think is silly are predictions that have a bunch of interchangeable choirs, like "GC: Choir A/Choir B/Choir C, 1RU: Choir A/Choir B/Choir C, 2RU: Choir A/Choir B/Choir C, 3RU: Choir D," because you aren't actually predicting anything other than choir D will be placing last. Man up and make a real prediction!
I don't think that killing the voting system is the answer, but I have been thinking about this a bit lately and I have something in mind for next year that I hope will put a lot of your concerns to rest. It should also temper a lot of the "rankings" stuff, too, which is an area of frustration for many people. I'm not out to play show choir police, but it would be nice if people just respected each other a little more. I think more conversation would help facilitate that.
Honestly I don't think the predictions are all that off base. I mean FC already beat Loveland and while neither of them have competed against Marysville who is undefeated but both groups have solid wins notably FC over Center Grove and Glenwood while Loveland has beaten Center Grove and Clover Hill. I mean you could also throw Huntington North on that list also. Outside of my rambling the whole point is that I don't think these predictions are all that crazy. Haha :D

Prediction of the intensity:
FC - GC BV
Loveland BC
Marysville
Colerain
What do you think?
This competition is just like Wheaton (just not as extreme). Im honestly up in the air about these results! Im just happy I can see this one live. Definetally on of the biggest comps of the year (Top 10)
