If you would like to nominate your vote for the Hall of Fame, please do so here.
Los Al Sound FX's ballad, "Ever After," was incredible. I loved every single part of it. Such a beautiful song and I love what they did with it. Even though I only saw it via YouTube, it was still amazing and I'm jealous of those who had the honor of seeing it live. I also really liked the following song, "Happy Ending," and the overall Sound FX costuming was grool.

Burbank In Sync also deserves major props for having the guts (pun intended) to end a show with an acapella. Definitely not mainstream, but In Sync takes risks and you can't hate them for that! I also really liked the red ribbon/blood effects...those were neat. And In Sync gave us a brief history lesson. Scholarly and admirable.

I also can't decide if my favorite part of Brea Olinda Thundercats was "Fins," the ABC acapella, or Titanic...so I just vote the entire repertoire.

Matt's last name is spelled "Hiett" not "Heitt" lol
and Sound Dogs also received Best Male Sound in the Men's Division

That was an amazing last competition for us seniors at Burbank. Thank you to our awesome hosts and Chula folk for such a great experience and congrats to all other groups!

Apologies to Burbank for reading it incorrectly at 12am... As Haakon confirmed, Burbank did sweep and scored a perfect score in Show.
Thank you everyone for participating, coming and watching online.

If you would like to nominate your vote for the Hall of Fame, please do so here.

Good luck to John Burroughs, Los Alamitos and Bonita Vista in Chicago this weekend!

Did Burbank "In Sync" really receive a perfect score in Choreography? Because if I recall - there were 2 Vocal Judges (Eden Espinosa and Nancy Landry) and 2 Choreography Judges (Bruce Sampson and Kim Messina). There were 7 vocal categories, 20 points each, 2 adjudicators - possible 280 points. For choreography, there were 5 categories worth 20 points each and 2 adjudicators - possible 200 points. Did Burbank "In Sync" really get a perfect choreography score of 200???? Thanks!
Burbank "In Sync" did indeed receive a perfect Showmanship score of 200 points out of a possible 200. They were only deducted 4 points in Musicianship (Vocals) out of a possible 300. "In Sync's" final score was 476.

As far as we're know, our director told us that we had a perfect score in show and the rest of the categories we were a couple points off to a perfect score. But that's all that we know so far.

Who wouldn't read a score sheet wrong at Midnight after a whole day of show choir competition?

Do you guys happen to have the scores for the Double A? :D

Hey Christian!

I actually shot all the videos at SoCal this year, so not to worry! It does seem that many of the "takeaway" DVDs had problems with sound yesterday and I sincerely apologize for that. Just shoot me a PM with your address and I'll get a replacement copy out to you asap. The audio on the full division DVDs (that get mailed out) is just fine; it was only the takeaway copies that were affected.

Obviously, by being a one point spread, it was very heated going down the stretch. I have to say, however, they got this result absolutely correct. Everyone was great, goodnight!
I know Mr. A announced it as a one point difference, but he must have read the sheet incorrectly in the heat of the moment. The final scores were as follows:

Brea:
Vocals: 264
Choreography: 177
Total: 441

Los Alamitos:
Vocals: 274
Choreography: 196
Total: 470

Burbank:
Vocals: 276
Choreography: 200
Total: 476

I just wanted to clarify as Burbank actually won the showmanship trophy as well as music, and didn't want confusion over the correctly updated results above. It was a fantastic competition and a terrific end to the California competition season!
