If I remember correctly, "championship" finals are separate from "festival" finals. Kind of like the Fairfield Crystal Classic has large and small mixed finals. So the "festival" groups will not be taking spots that would otherwise be going to "championship" groups - they are separate and were last year as well.

You are correct. TV has typically had 28 minute time slots. Believe me, it is a pain to calculate lol

Yeah I'm not sure how I feel about only allowing 4 championship groups into finals, I think if those varsity groups score high enough to make it into finals than thats great for them but I see a lot of good groups (Capital Hurricane and Hamilton) not making it into finals while ones who were just in "Varsity" class get in instead.

I heard Solon will be competing again.
Actually, I just verified and this weekend at Twinsburg will be the ending of a great season for MIM.
