Just want to shout out to Wapak: Great competition and it almost felt like "southern hospitality" extended to us folks from Alabama. We enjoyed ourselves tremendously. Congrats to Carmel for both outstanding groups. Really, congrats to all of the groups. It was a great day!

I don't know about band, but I saw on twitter where an Albertville girl won best female performer. I believe her name was Erica something. I'm going back to try to find it, and who the male was and from what school.

Carmel won best costumes, along with best female vocalist (Kari Baker). This was a great competition and I was so honored to meet and talk with all of the incredibly kind people from all of the choir. I'm so glad our last competition of the season could be in such a fantastic and kind environment.
Thanks for the caption information and I'm glad you enjoyed ending your season at Wapak!

Does anyone know the Best Band caption? I know Wapak usually gives out two: one for all student bands and one including adult-aided bands.

Looks like this is running a little late.
It might be. According to the competition schedule, awards were supposed to be announced at Midnight. I know "Singsation" has already performed so I would assume awards are happening now.

edit: Garfield Heights has made finals at Music & More for the past 5 seasons starting in 2008. Just an interesting streak, we will see if it continues!
Looks like the streak has stretched to six consecutive seasons of Garfield Heights "Music Express" making Finals at Music & More! Congrats to them.

Ohio Competition - Best crew AHS; top male soloist, Colton Smith. Whole Competition; People's choice AHS,
For prelims they only did overall captions, not by class.
Class A:
GC Carmel- vocals, choreo, spirit award, show concept, best female soloist
1RU Albertville- best male soloist, best tech
2RU Garfield Heights

Thanks for all of the caption information, it will be added after finals awards are announced.

In addition, if anyone is aware of "B," "C," and/or "Single Gender" complete daytime placings please let us know.

I don't remember placements in all the divisions, but I know Edgewood Music Warehouse won their class and got best combo, and Carmel Girls won the single gender followed by Bishop Luers Reigning Knights.
All of the groups were fantastic, and a shout-out to my friends from Carmel, they all showed much love for their Fairfield hosts This was my first time seeing Albetville live this year, and the guy who won best male soloist was FANTASTIC!

As in, SCC members who should post. Not groups. I'm sure you all did great <- see that smileyface

Not 1st r/u overall but in "A" classification.

I just read this from FB:

Ohio Competition - Best crew AHS; top male soloist, Colton Smith. Whole Competition; People's choice AHS, Albertville CenterStage is 1st runner up going into Finals.

Sorry it's only Albertville results but I guess it's better than nothing? STEP IT UP PEOPLE AT THIS COMPETITION

Finalists have been posted...I saw it via a tweet. Wapak, like many Ohio competitions, do a lot of Daytime awards and class A, B, C divisional awards. So if Albertville was 1RU in their class, I would assume Carmel won Class A during the day round. If no one else posts the daytime list, I will probably be able to get a hold of it Monday. But hopefully someone can provide us with some information in the mean time.
