Personally, I think Twinsburg's show is great and I understand your reaction to a prediction seeing them in fourth place. This is why this competition is so amazing, however. You have five killer groups (let's not knock Homewood; they're currently undefeated this season too), and one of them is going to end up in 4th. Would you any quicker put Burbank in that spot? Burroughs? Wheaton?

To this point, check out these numbers: the groups have 13 GCs this year, one for EVERY competition they were at. That is incredible.

I don't think I'll be able to go. i sent a check ordering some tickets a little while ago but they haven't cashed it yet. Oh well.

I know we have a sort of embargo with Burbank and Burroughs' shows it seems, but does ANYONE have any kind of details?
I posted some pictures of Burroughs in the FAME Hollywood thread. Working on a video, but it's not quite ready for public consumption.

Burbank's theme this year is the Civil War, but I've got nothing for you in the way of song titles. Let your mind run wild.

Twinsburg's show is really amazing this year! I'm so excited for these results!
It really is. If you thought Wheaton's comp was unpredictable, just wait for this one. I have a feeling everyone is going to be bringing it in a major way.

Have you actually seen either of these shows? I would not be hasty as to make predictions before you even see the shows.
No one has seen Burbank's show yet because they haven't bothered to compete. Cali people will have a better idea this Saturday when they debut it for the first time, but even then, there's only a week before Los Al.

It sounds crazy but someone will end up there. I think we haven't seen the competition of the year just yet.

Have you actually seen either of these shows? I would not be hasty as to make predictions before you even see the shows. All these groups are fantastic this year. John Burroughs, via Youtube, is as good as ever. And Wheaton is looking for a fight (saw them at Mt. Zion). Twinsburg's show (which I saw at Dekalb) is fantastic this year. Best Twinsburg show ever. Burbank is also consistently glorious, but if Clinton can be taken down in Illinois, who knows what could happen in California?

Didn't mean to sound angry. Let's just see these guys perform first.

Not sure if smaller tier groups place with the large tier groups or not

We don't do the "runner up" nonsense out here.

And no, Tier II is separate from Tier I.

I'll go ahead and make a prediction:

Wheaton doesn't win

I think all of the top tier choirs competing at Los Alamitos this year will give Wheaton a run for their money at this particular competition. It's really hard to make predictions considering the performance level of all of these choirs and also the fact that Burbank has not unveiled their 2013 competition set yet.

Nevertheless, the Los Alamitos "Xtravaganza" show choir competition will be the competition of the year in 2013!!! (along with the Wheaton competition)

This is awesome. The fact that all of these groups are traveling to compete against people they don't typically face is awesome. It really will put the regions against each other in a cool way. I know Fame was made for that but a lot of the big name groups seem to be avoiding it this year (except Powerhouse and Los Al and I'm sure I missed a group somewhere please do not be offended I'm a bit new to the national community)

There was this big mix-up and both Hart and Burbank scheduled their events for the same day. To work it out, from what I understand, the competition will be hosted by Hart and Burbank is taking over the food and commissions. As far as I know, Burbank will still be competing at the event, though.

you are correct

I thought Hart & Burbank were "co-hosting" a competition this year on the weekend of March 15/16? That's at least what it says on the Hart and Burbank Choir websites.

If it's any consolation, Hart will have Los Al, Burroughs, and Burbank... so although it doesn't have the depth of Los Al or the cool out-of-state choirs, it would still be a good alternative if it works for you.
