Some Rowland ppl are actually gonna take the train to San Diego to go watch... I would go with them but my mom isn't letting me.. she thinks that one day is gonna affect my SAT score... but there is like a .05% chance that she'll let me go.. haha
Oh yea how much are the DVDs? bc even though we're not in it.. i still want one haha
Thanks, Chad. That explains it better. I might talk with some recent graduates that may be interested. Still, getting out early during finals week......not easy!
We do accept singer/dancers up to age 25, and for those who really want to take advantage of this opportunity, we do have a couple socal parents who are arranging for students to get out of school early. Additionally, the rehearsal is "built in" to the tour and therefore Californians would only need to miss the last two (possibly three) days of school. Thanks for inquiring.
The National Show Choir, Fame "All-Stars" is a great idea, but Californians aren't even out of school in time to rehearse, much less, tour. Our school year ends June 17th. Schools get out back east earlier, usually in late May. Maybe they take kids who have already graduated.
ITs TRUE!!!! FAME will be at SoCal (Thanks Tony!! ;) )
What is FAME ALL STARS?
A select group of many of the country's finest young singer/dancers who will be immersed in a fast-paced professional rehearsal and european tour expeirence.
Choreographed by Mike Weaver, Damon Brown, April James, Chad Alexander, and Connie Mulligan with Music Direction by David Fehr & David Moellenkamp, this group promises to be a once in a lifetime experience. The group will rehearse and learn 5 choreographed numbers and two ballads in Chicago before departing for London, Paris, and Normandy. Additional solos, duets, or other special features are also available for individuals who might be interested.
When is the tour? June 15-26, 2005
What should I prepare for the audition?
We will have audition forms at SoCAL that will need to be filled out before you audition, OR you can download one directly from www.famefestivals.com
You should be prepared to sing (no more than) 60 seconds of you best up-tempo and then have a second song ready (perhaps a ballad) if we request to hear more from you. The auditions are "American Idol" style - come in, introduce yourself and your song, and hit it a cappella.
There will also be a short dance combination taught so make sure to bring shoes you can move in.
We hope many of you will consider auditioning for this world-class honor choir.
If you have any questions please call 800.289.6441 ext 108
theres a couple of topics on it on the show choir discussion forums.. im pretty sure you need 60 seconds of a ballad 60 seconds of an upbeat.. a filled out application and a letter(s) of recommendation.. there will be a choreographer there to teach a dance sequence for the dance portion of the audition..
WOW Jeremy! You haven't poseted in forever!!!
Aww.. Last year we didn't stay for the caption awards... I doubt we will this year too since we're not even gonna be there for the Single Gender Division... =(

Yes we did stay last year for caption awards because they were during regular awards
Yes due to lack of funds we will not be able to bring the group down to SoCal...unless someone wants to donate ummm a few hundred dollars to go.
so how about umm as many of us go as can and we'll perform our show ourself and umm yeah then nothing has to be changed....I'm so sad I don't get to enjoy my last competition on stage wow I can't believe I'll never step onto a show choir stage again as a performer. Oh Mr A I'm serious I'll go and do the whole show myself. Oh well umm I guess about 10 of us or so will be down there to watch maybe even more so I'll still see everyone who I said I would go see and meet.
See ya all there I can't wait it will be nice I guess to be able to sit and watch and not have to worry about the whole having to perform aspect of it all Good luck everyone
