Just a suggestion but if you haven't seen West Side Story watch it before you see Clinton's show again.
I'm going to do that before Petal this weekend. Maybe it's on Netflix...

To say that Clinton and Albertville have the same show is a false statement. I'm not talking about just on here, but from other people who have made the comment to me. Yes, they have a similar story line but that's all. Albertville's version is more of a true story with props, characters, and even other stories thrown in. Clinton's version is more on the traditional side with dresses and suits and backdrops. Both are great shows and I can't wait to see both at Petal!

I usually stick to just posting results, but to say that Clinton is "just" anything is absurd. To compare them to Albertville in any sort of way is even more absurd. It is apples and oranges besides the fact that they both contain a story line and have awesome props. Besides that they are complete opposites. Choreography, sound, costumes, band, the look, the hair, the way they walk on stage, and pretty much any other way you would compare them they are opposites. I am not saying that one is better than the other, but they are very very different. So different that it will be incredibly difficult for any judge to compare the two and say one is better than the other.
I agree 100%. I guess the way that I put it didn't sound the way I meant now that I look back at it.

I don't know much about either show, but I would be highly skeptical that Clinton's show is "exactly" what Albertville is doing. First off, Albertville has interestingly unique shows. In my opinion, it's not quite like the West Coast, but it's certainly not traditional, thus I guess it's usually called theatrical. Anyways, the songs and vision are probably much different, because it doesn't seem like anyone is similar to Albertville in that sense. Secondly, Clinton is incredibly innovative as well. They may be known for their "traditional" or "classic" style, but Attache has had very intricate shows the past few years and even story shows as of recent. So just as unique as Albertville is, I think Clinton is similarly innovative in their own right. Even if they both have "darker" themes to their shows, I would be shocked if they both didn't have their own distinct way of telling that story.
I think I can clarify this thought. This will probably come up a lot next week so here goes:
In awhat appears to be a coincidental twist, both Clinton and Albertville have taken on the same basic "story" and presented it in their own unique ways. The story is as old as time - Girl and boy from different sides of the tracks meet and fall in love. It's Romeo and Juliet, Beauty and the Beast, You name it. Clinton's take on the story is loosely based on Westside Story brilliantly retold with only the slightest hint of traditional West Side Story material and large doses of reinterpreted current musical selections. Albertville's take on the story is from a more Fairy Tale oriented point of view . Albertvilles show includes themes inspired by Beaty and the Beast, Dracula, and other mythical story lines - and like Clinton, is told through the incorporation of current music.
There is very little similarity between the two shows other than the story line itself. It will be interesting to see both interpretations at Petal next week.

From what I've heard.. It's just a non theatrical show of exactly what us in albertville centerstage are doing!

I have always been a big fan of Clinton, and yesterday was a good beginning to their season. I saw their prelim performance, not their final. They nailed the opener and their choreographic expression was strong throughout. The Girls take on Adele's "Rumor has it" was not their best effort. For such a powerhouse song, their interpretation was tepid vocally and in dance. This portion of their show needs tweeking. And, they were out of breath during their closer; THAT they will definitely fix. They are still one of the of the top 5 show choirs in the nation.

You basically just said all my thoughts in one post.

Clinton's show in my personal opinion was a "good vs. evil" thing with a couple that couldn't be together and it makes the male in the couple die.
