I just talked to someone there. They did not award daytime placings but I do know Southeast Polk made finals, received best female soloist (sydney houde), best crew, and best band.

I worry that not many SCCers that will post during competitions are attending this competition. So I don't know if results will show up until tonight. Let's hope someone does, though!

I do know that LeMars made finals though! Congrats, C&B!

The only thing that I don't know is how Sioux City East sets up their competition. In the past, after prelims they would announce placements for the top few 1A/2A groups and then just announce finalists, not giving placements to 3A or 4A. I don't know if that effects how you set up this competition on here or not, though.

So I may not be completely in the know, but I gave you all I could. Hopefully its enough to go off of!

What are the class divisions? If the schedule has them listed or if anyone is able to figure it out, please label which group is in what division. It makes adding these to the event so much more simple.

Sam, your predictions match mine so I'm gonna throw out random predictions:

GC. Sioux Falls O'Gorman
1RU. Southeast Polk
2RU. Westwood
3RU. LeMars
4RU Lincoln East
5RU. Hinton

I agree this could go many ways. Lincoln East beat Southeast Poik at Norris but then East didn't make finals at GISH. I saw SE Polk at Urby, and they were pretty good for a not-well known 4A group. LeMars' vocals need work. A lot of work. A lot a lot of work. But if they can get that done, they could finish high here. 5RU goes to Hinton by default because they're a good 2A school and I'm not familiar with the prep groups here sooo yes.

I'm assuming there will be a finals competition. Here are my predictions:

GC: O'Gorman
1RU: Westwood
2RU: Lincoln East
3RU: Southeast Polk
4RU: Le Mars
5RU: Hinton/Thomas Jefferson/O'Gorman women/Lincoln East women

This literally could go anyway. O'Gorman is probably the favored winner here, but anyway down could go so many ways. We'll see how it plays out!
