I don't know if you took it wrong, but my post was in no way saying that Clinton was "gone". It just was stating that their 3+ year streak of winning GC is now, in fact, over.

I was just saying that when their streak ends, they just start a new one. They have an incredible knack of taking a 2nd place finish and punishing the show choir world by being unbeatable for a few years in a row haha. No misunderstanding.
I'm bored at school going through old competition forums, and this person was spot on lol. "being unbeatable for a few years in a row" is so accurate regarding Clinton's current streak. This competition was insane back in 2013, I'm sure.
It is accurate in terms of the record. However, to my knowledge they had a close win at Petal in 2017 and at Jasper this year. Roughly 10 points in both cases.
Reminiscing about this one hurts my heart. It's three years later and I'm still trying to wrap my head around Studio finishing tied for 5th with one other group and then placing 7th.
I concluded at the time that they were trying to apply the Fehr Fair system, but didn't know how. If I could get full prelim score information I could show what they probably did and what they should have done.
This was such a special competition.

I actually talked to Mr. Fehr about this and it was because Clinton has college kids in the band, making them ineligible. I was stunned by that fact too, LOL
