Was there a best male and female soloist? I wasn't around for awards.

Jacob's personal results:
GC: WV (close but it was definite)
1RU: Clinton
2RU: Buffalo Grove
3RU: Prospect/Urby
4RU: Prospect/Urby
5RU: Eisenhower
6RU: Mitchell
7RU: Danville
8RU: Glenwood

Waubonsie was the best group there and it was apparent to anyone who saw.
Clinton is Clinton.
Buffalo Grove is just so clean on vocals and choreo its hard to cut points.
Urbandale, I sincerely believe was the fourth best group at Wheaton.
Prospect's show was the most original of the night.
Eisenhower could have done better but their vocals were not up to par with Waubonsie/Buffalo Grove/Urby
Mitchell wins the best hair caption, not even close.
Danville and Glenwood were close but WOW CHRISTIAN'S SOLO

Can someone tell me where I can order a DVD?
Rutherford did the videos. They'll be available at this link as soon as ordering goes up:

At Fame Chicago 2008 North Central was 3rd, Waubonsie was 4th.

Oops, my bad man.

Am I the only one not shocked that Clinton lost?

I was there and not only am I not surprised, but these were the correct results no doubt about it. Clinton was fantastic, but Waubonsie was just plain better

This is rarely remembered, but in 2008 at Fame Chicago the ranking order was:
1) John Burroughs, 2) Clinton, 3) North Central, 4) Waubonsie Valley
*This was the ONLY competition in which Waubonsie Valley did not place within the top 3 three choirs in their history of competing. Woa, I don't know why I know that. I am a freak Hahaha

Which is still amazing for Waubonsie though, especially that being only their second year of competition. That was an amazing Fame!

I, personally, am on an 18 GC win streak.

Just a reminder that from 2009-2012, WV Sound Check won 12 consecutive GC's. So they also had quite a streak going....
Correct! They did have a great streak! I was simply talking in terms of current streaks when I referenced those earlier ones. Perhaps WV will rival that previous one, after all, they are at 4 now and have a tremendous amount of momentum! Who knows?

Correct. It is pretty unbelievable that it is so easy to remember the only people to beat Clinton since who-knows-when.

2009 @ Los Alamitos: 1) John Burroughs, 2) Clinton, 3) Burbank
2008 @ FAME Chicago: 1) John Burroughs, 2) Clinton, 3) Waubonsie Valley
2008 @ Sullivan: 1) Hart (?), 2) Clinton, 3) Mt. Zion

Before that, I'm not sure.

Very good point. And I would offer up that there was a greater level of depth at those competitions during that time as well. Waubonsie is unquestionably in the upper echelon of show choirs.

The streak ends at 12 consecutive Grand Championships from 2010-2013. I believe the new longest current winning streak is none other than the host choir Wheaton Warrenville South "The Classics" at 11 consecutive Grand Championships dating back to 2011 after they received 1RU to Clinton "Attache" to now. Although Wheaton's streak will be in jeopardy in a few weeks when they compete at Los Al! Great day of competition at WWS, every choir should be proud!

I really love their ballad. I was surprised any show choir would do Sleep as a ballad. I was a little disappointed they had the piano double the bass part at times, but they did a great job with it. Sleep is my favorite Eric Whitacre song.
The 2012 Auburn Varsity Singers performed Sleep as their ballad

"Pretender" was 2009; 2008 was the circus show.
