I don't want to leave out a major congratulations to Clinton, too. You may not have won GC, but the fact that your not winning GC is causing such a commotion is just giving you all credit where credit is due. Good luck to you kids in the future!
No one should be surprised by the results. There is an unwritten rule at THIS competition that a certain choir always makes finals regardless of their merit. Last year they beat out a far more deserving Twinsburg for a finals position, in 2010 they beat a far more deserving Albertville, and this year it was a far more deserving Urbandale. Thumbs down me all you want. It needs to be said.
I remember not making finals in 2010!! It was hands down the worst day of show choir I ever had. 😒
From where I'm sitting, it is between WV and Clinton. Personally, I would take Clinton over WV. WV can sing circles around just about everyone that gets on stage, but it isn't like they blow Attache out of the water in that category. I believe that in show design, choreography, and band, Attache is light years ahead of WV. Before I get flamed for that statement, I want to point out that my reasoning is because Attache is cleaner AND has harder choreography, at least to my eyes, and how anyone beat Attache's band is unbelievable, since they are as close to spot-on as you can be.
That said, WV has a lot going for them. They are very powerful in the choral department and are by no means slouches on choreography either. Also, their band is very good! I just was not engaged by their show as I was with Attache (or even Prospect).

3RU: Prospect
4RU: Mitchell
5RU: Dectur / Eisenhower (whichever you prefer )
Was Attache's backdrop meant to fall so soon? Not that it really matters if it wasn't.

Sure. I just enjoyed BG's show very much. It was so cool and fun. Not much of an explanation but if I had to rank by what I truly think the order of placement should go by my entertainment and judgement of a good show that's how it would go.
