With this being my senior trip, I could not be more excited! T-Minus 12 hours till Marysville takes the stage at the Grand Ol' Opry! (It is twelve, darn you timezones)

Due to their huge win at Los Al, I'm changing my prediction to a John Burroughs sweep.

John Burroughs isn't going to Nashville, but with any kind of luck, they could (sweep) the FAME Nationals in Chicago!

This weekend is so stacked with such great talent. Some of the greatest names in show choir are coming to this event and I wish everyone the best of luck!

GC: Marysville "Swingers Unlimited" (I really know they are going to be gunning for it and I believe that Marysville's show this year has that "show choir magic" to take it on home, hopefully not for the last time, but to be GC the show has to be utterly PERFECT!)

1RU: Hastings "Riverside Company" (This group is the dark horse in my category of groups. They could win it all and be amazing or fall short by tiny margins on the score sheets that could knock them down to 2RU. Good luck Hastings.)

2RU: Clover Hill "New Dimensions"(I have seen this show and know that they are definitely stepping it up in terms of the shows excitement level, so they might just take down Hastings with their killer vocals and amazing band.)

3RU: Loveland "By Request" (This is another group that has shown they are a force to be reckoned with and they will be fighting to beat out Clover Hill and Findlay.)

4RU: Findlay "First Edition" (I wish the best of luck to this group. I saw you guys at Marysville and know you have improved so much from where you were. I hope you guys and gals do great.)

5RU: Totino-Grace "Company of Singers"

Best Band: Clover Hill
Best Choreography: Marysville
Best Vocal: Clover Hill/Hastings

Womens Division
GC: Clover Hill "Iridescence"
1RU: Rock Bridge "Satin n' Lace"
2RU: Oak Mountain "Chanter"
Good luck to all the participating this weekend and I hope you all SHOW OFF!

DUDE! Oak Mountain Ballad. Watched it. GET SOME!
I agree! It was a cool arrangement. And I'm sure it's a thousand times better live so everyone at SCN is super lucky. I also like their blue pants and ties.

Why does nobody remember when Marysville beat Loveland at Twinsburg (Northcoast).... and Piqua, and Mt. Zion

My bad I did forget about that one.

I would be careful not to say such all-encompassing statements, such as "nobody." You're clearly responding to Kyle. It would have been more productive for your post to say, "Kyle, adding to your list Marysville placed higher than Loveland at Twinsburg...(and this is why I'm mentioning it...)" Saying "nobody" is a false assumption, especially considering that information is public knowledge and can be found above if you click on "By Request" and "Swingers Unlimited." Not to mention the whole Marysville/Loveland thing has been exhaustively discussed thus far and your comment isn't really adding any meat to the conversation nor does it really change Kyle's post. He was explaining how the two choirs have had a friendly rivalry this season. Just something to consider.

MY PREDICTIONS:

Lots of flip-flopping has happened this year in terms of results between the same groups at different competitions. I sincerely believe the results will be:

GC: Clover Hill (BV, BB)
1RU: Hastings (BC)
2RU: Marysville
3RU: Findlay
4RU: Loveland
5RU: Totino Grace

The Loveland placement is tricky. I do think Findlay will come out guns blazing though.

Prediction:
GC: Hastings BV
1st Ru: Clover Hill BB (If they don't have adults)
2nd Ru: Loveland BC
3rd Ru: Marysville
4th Ru: Findlay
5th Ru: Totino Grace

It will be interesting to see how Loveland and Marysville place. Marysville has beat Loveland on many occasions this year. But most recently Loveland beat Marysville and took Choreo at Fairfield. The reason I put Loveland ahead of Marysville, is because I think the judges scores at Fairfield are usually very accurate.

i dont know know if anyone has answered this, but clover hill has a student combo

I'm not taking any sides nor arguing that past results matter, but Loveland and Marysville have been pretty even this year. Marysville beat Loveland at Beavercreek in early in the year. At Poca, Loveland went into finals in first place after prelims and then Marysville took GC in finals. At Fairfield, BR beat the Swingers in both prelims and finals. It should be very cool to see the final result of the friendly rivalry between the two groups that occurred this year! Although, I think the rivalry was among alumni more than it was the students haha

Clover Hill is excited to see the many wonderful choirs that are a part of the 2013 Show Choir Nationals Competition. It is an honor to be a part of this wonderful artform. Thank you SCN for having such a highly qualified panel of judges. This will be a fantastic several days. We wish everyone safe travels to Nashville!

I still think Clinton.
