Due to their huge win at Los Al, I'm changing my prediction to a John Burroughs sweep.

who cares about what happened in previous competitions to any of the choirs competing? this is a totally new venue with a totally new panel of judges. yes, previous competitions can shed a light on whos going to place where, but you never know. there could be a dark horse somewhere. we'll certainly see! but im so psyched for this competition its unreal. im really looking forward to it!!!
Thank you. I have been trying to drill this into my friends head for forever! I'm glad someone agrees with me!

In no way did I mean to attack Clover Hill! I love your guys' show (and combo for that matter!) and I am very excited to compete against you! When I said that Teays would "ruin your rep" I meant that normal audience members that have only seen the record of that competition would judge only based on finals results. I'm sorry for the miscommunication, and am totally psyched for this next weekend!
hey, its all good! this is going to be a great week/weekend!

yeah, we knew that teays valley would hurt us. but like someone else from new dimensions said earlier, one of the judges was out to get us. and honestly, who cares about what happened in previous competitions to any of the choirs competing? this is a totally new venue with a totally new panel of judges. yes, previous competitions can shed a light on whos going to place where, but you never know. there could be a dark horse somewhere. we'll certainly see! but im so psyched for this competition its unreal. im really looking forward to it!!!

I'm glad to hear the New Dimensions aren't dwelling on the past. All you can do is move on! Best of luck at SCN, your optimism and eagerness is really refreshing in this otherwise stagnant thread.

Thanks, I really appreciate it its hard not to be excited when we're performing on the stage of the grand ole opry!!!

You've gotta be kidding, right...?

PREACH.

The reason your posts have negative marks is because you're criticizing someone for making predictions. It's just their personal point of view. The student is from the Northeast and has no bias in their predictions; unlike the two of you, Alex being in Swingers Unlimited and "Robert" with a post history that clearly has an Ohio bias and a Marysville focus (comments in the Lebanon/Twinsburg threads.) You don't have to agree with the predictions, but at least respect differences, because posts such as, "You've gotta be kidding" and "PREACH" are a tad immature. Thus your negative marks. And I agree with the negative marks. So it's just something to consider for the future in the way you phrase your responses.

They've also won their first two competitions. However, when they competed at Kecoughtan their best competition was Cosby. So it's kind of hard to place Clover Hill. And, placing 4RU at Teays really hurt their reputation for this season. In response to your comment; Yes. I think they are being underestimated. But not underplaced. I think they fall into the same category as Totino. They could easily make finals. But some people suggest they wont.

Yes, it is true that they won there last competition, but look at who they competed against. The next highest group is cosby (is there show on youtube?). Honestly, they have not been to many hard competitions this year. Teays Valley was the hardest (and look what happened). Solon was the next hardest. They competed against Piqua, Teays Valley, and Colerain.
I feel like I just re-read my earlier post...

At this point in the season, you have to give all the respect and honor the talent of all the groups going to Nashville. I almost think you have to shove records aside for this one. Nationals always has a solid panel of judges from all over.

Believe it or not, people are entitled to their opinions.
In the words of Voltaire: "I do not agree with what you say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it."

GC: Hastings(BV BV)
1st RU: Clover Hill(BB)
2nd RU: Marysville

3rd RU: Loveland

I'd like to apologize for my earlier post. Jdl did point out that I am biased in the way that I do love Marysville, and what I said truly was immature and did not deserve to be said. I am very sorry to anyone who may have been offended by what I said.

There is no prior knowledge to who will win, it will be a battle between giants. This is one of the best Show Choir Nationals by amount of big groups by far! Can't wait to see the results!
