We have Choraliers as a class. However, our Junior high group (Rhythm Express) and our girls group (Pure Elegance) are extracurricular activities.
Thank you!

Hi, I was wondering out of the top three finalists, who has show choir as a class? I'm doing a persuassive speech project for my communications class. I appreciate it. thank you!

The Fairfield Choraliers will NOT be attending FAME national finals in Chicago. We are most certainly going to do what we can. But as of now it's a no
Definitely disappointing! You all have had a fantastic season and the crowd at Chicago would have been lucky to see your show! Could you perhaps explain a little bit more about the decision? Was it the administration, director, students, parents, etc.? And the reason?

For example, Jefferson "Westside Delegation" was originally not approved for the trip by their principal citing missing too much class (among other reasons), but it got overturned. Just curious what the story is for Fairfield.

I've never seen y'all and I've never met you... But that makes me sad! I can tell you are a great group of guys that have worked hard to get where you are! Congratulations though on what I've heard is a wonderful show!

I will be able to say for sure whether or not we are attending Nationals by tomorrow at this time.

I know I sure am hoping that we can attend! There are so many amazing groups and it would be such a great experience!

I'm praying you guys can go and rep Ohio.

On the FAME website, it states a Soloist Honorable Mention award was given to someone from Los Alamitos "Sound FX." Does anyone know why this special award was given? Thanks!

Thank you for providing this great information! It is not yet posted on the FAME site, so that's really awesome! I'm glad to see FAME is altering their scoring system. Just reading these posts give me a headache from not understanding their system.

In addition, that has been updated above as well as a few extra captions have been added that previously weren't there.

Now that has been sorted out, when does Fairfield find out if they will be able to compete at Nationals?

On Facebook, it says they will be polling the parents to see if they want to move on to nationals. So I'm assuming sometime soon.

We have finally received a verdict from the FAME staff, which will be published on their website shortly (if it has not been already):

Fairfield and FC TIED for first-runner up.

Ultimately, FAME understood our point but in order to be in compliance with their own majority rule clause, they decided to rule it a tie. Because we had 3 3s and FC had 2,3,4, those two even out. Per the explanation we were given by FAME staff, it is not fair for that tie to be broken by the frequency of each ranking (like they originally did) when you do not take into consideration the comparison to other groups.

Needless to say, we are very happy with the result and the thought that FAME put into this situation in order to fix it.

They have also made some very smart decisions regarding the scoring for FAME Finals this year and the way regional qualifiers will be set up next year. I think this entire ordeal has worked out to benefit everyone who will compete in FAME events from this point forward!

Hopefully this clears everything up!

This was an interesting competition but what's done is done! Every single group I watched was fantastic!

I am in love with Carrol's show, it was phenomenal.

I think everyone was a little surprised by all the results.

And Patrick - according to the urban dictionary, a THIMB is "a person who adopts a freeway, or highway."

LOL. Thank you!

Does this mean that Franklin Central won't be attending the National finals? (which is totally understandable given scheduling conflicts...just curious)

Also a student posted previously that Los Al probably wouldn't attend the National finals due to this being their out of state trip. Anyone know if that is that still true?

And he puzzled and puzzled 'till his puzzler was sore. . .

Not that it matters but there was an earlier comment that said Fairfield had higher choreo scores than FC. Assume that was in finals and not prelims since captions were based on prelims?

Anywho. Had a great time in Orlando. Nice talking to and getting to know the crews from Carroll and Los Al, as well as FC.
