Waukee has sadly decided not to return to defend their championship from last year. I haven't heard what was behind the decision to compete elsewhere that weekend.
Sounds like they are trying to mix up their competition schedule... they're not defending at Urby or Musc.

That is a bummer - I was reading their '12-'13 calendar, but now noticed it was dated from this past May, so it's too bad their plans have since changed. Don't suppose there's any chance we all might be able to peer pressure them into changing it back? haha...
I believe you can also add Waukee to that list - which will be fun since they're the defending champions, and won best vocals over Wheaton last season (in Davenport). I definitely have to figure out a way to return in Feb!

Now THAT'S a line up worth seeing! Don't know if I'll make it (I have a 5 hr performance of Meistersinger the night before), but I'd love to try to be there!

Everyone should make plans now to attend the Urbandale Show Choir Invitational on February 8 & 9, 2013. We already have such a stellar lineup of groups that I wish the competition was sooner.
