I am surprised no one has made a thread considering Burroughs, Burbank and Clinton are going to compete head to head.

I'm in InSync and I agree, I think there should be a thread. Hahahahaha

Choreo could really go either way. If the judges want clean, precise, cookie cutter choreography, Clinton will win it. If they are looking more for style appropriateness and overall energy, Burbank will win. Clintons show is harder vocally I think, but again Burbank sings with better style to their show and more energy. This is COMPLETELY down to what the judges think is more important; high octane energy and style or crisp choreography and perfect "choral" vocals. I am interested to see how it turns out.

I think it'll be Burbank winning with Clinton coming in a close second.

I just saw burbank's set, I dont know how they can lose to Clinton. Their set is AMAZING!!!!!

I saw Clinton live and I watched Burbanks set. Clinton MIGHT get choreo in my opinion, but Burbank SHOULD win. Again; al my opinion.

Many of the CA competitions haven't had an a cappella rule for a few years now, though most CA choirs still do one. Great way to show vocal prowess.

No it has been a rule there one song has to be acapella for at least 60 seconds.
Whether or not they are making an excpetion for non-Cali groups such as Clinton I don't know

Well they have before for other choirs out of Cali. I don't think judges would be harsh on that.

And what about the acapella rule? Is there an exception for non-Cali choirs?
Yeh i don't think there is a rule that it has to be an a capella it has just been a preference from most cali groups but there are still some few who still do balleds.( mostly in lower divisions) Acapella just allows more show casing of vocal quality since there is no instruments.

Does anyone know if there will be finals again here like there was in 2009?
I highly doubt tht because back in 09 there was no AA/AAA division. and there is only 3 groups in AAA.
