Well let's get video of Los Alamitos on youtube please! (: I should've recorded it myself, but I would die to have Los Alamitos as my ringtone. <3

it's the scala choir arrangement of it, to be specific.
Ah, very cool. Well I think it's awesome, personally.

If it's the same thing they did at Burbank blast, it's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" by Nirvana... an amazingly kickass arrangement of it.

Congrats to all of the choirs, I flew out from New Mexico to surprise the Eldorado Choirs and ended up being blown away with the talent that I saw. The only thing that made me sad the entire day was that Los Alamitos Xtreme supposedly wasn't allowed to compete? That was a little upsetting to me, because I thought they were amazing as a men's show choir and should've been allowed to compete. Good job to them though!!

Now, a question to all of the members of Los Alamitos Sound FX, what is the name of the song that was the very begnning of your show? I've absolutely fallen in love with it.

Its not that xtreme wasnt allowed to compete but we would be competing against our advanced womens group and that would be kinda awkward...especially if we beat them....
Xtreme won the Single-Gender division at fame la in 2010 tho...our girls group didnt go that year

And yeah its teen spirit that fx opens with this year

Thanks for the compliments guys it means a lot

was pretty spot-on except for ALA instead of Eldorado. Anyways, now the question will be... will all of these groups attend FAME Nationals in Chicago? I thought I read somewhere that Los Al wasn't planning on attending SoCal this year due to a conflicting date with Nationals, indicating that they plan on attending? Brea attended Nationals last year, so perhaps they will again? No clue about ALA.

Yes, because of conflicting dates of FAME Chicago and SoCal, Los Alamitos Sound FX and SoundTrax will be going to Chicago instead of SoCal this year.

Hard to believe that there's already a FAME competition, seems early especially for the California choirs. Anyways, I'll make predictions based on FAME's regional format where the top three mixed groups advance and up to the two top women's groups advance to nationals...

Mixed
GC: Los Alamitos "Sound FX"
1RU: Brea Olinda "Masquerade"
2RU: Eldorado "Gold Rush"

Women's
GC: Brea Olinda "Spellbound"
1RU: Los Alamitos "Soundtrax"

I think Los Al and Brea are a lock for the top two spots in Mixed and I threw Eldorado in there as third since they've bested ALA in the past. I don't really know anything about California women's groups, so that's a complete guess for me. Brea and Los Al, regardless of mixed/women's, have hardly competed against any other groups yet this year, so it'll be interesting to see them face off.

Thanks Rian! (: Anyone else heard anything about the competition yet? Maybe some Los Alamitos or Brea Olinda kids that wanna share their feelings about it?!

ALA Evolution is going, and they are an incredible choir that Eldorado's competed against in years past. I don't know anything about Premier though. I haven't heard about any Hong Kong choir flying in, but I think that defeats the purpose of it being a national championship so if they do go, it'll be as an exhibition performance and nothing more.
Jordan that would be the exhibition choir that is performing before awards. Premier is the Single Gender show choir that is performing.

So who's going to be there? Evolution (AZ) is going! And I'm aware that Los Alamitos, Brea Olinda, and El Dorado are going. But who else?
Ohh and who's head about that Hong Kong choir flying in?!
