I heard that 3 groups(Waconia, Benton and ATSC) all did the same ballad..........which group did it the best?

Seriously? The Current is just good! Of almost 50 singer/dancers, only about 7 overlap on average each year. That's less than 10% of the group. It isn't only these individuals who make the group the top notch group that they are, it's EVERYONES hard work and dedication to what they do. Kevin pushes them just as much as he pushes Varsity groups and he knows what he can expect out of them. I was in both Power Company and the Current for 4 straight years and if I had been asked to sit out I am confident in saying they would've placed just as they had with me amongst their ranks.

I understand that is the case. Though I would hardly say taking a 4-year varsity member out of a prep group would have no effect. I know if we had Momentum members in Vivace, it would be a COMPLETELY different group. At Wash we have 3 show choirs (used to be 4) and none of the members share groups. Both are really good and Celebration has been beating varsity groups this year. I understand why groups choose to share members, mostly to prop up male sound, I just feel like it's unnecessary. When Norwell has 20 members in their group (including 7 guys) and they are still beyond outstanding, it shows that you don't need huge numbers to be a successful group.

That's because they have people from their varsity group who also participate in the prep group. Not all competitions allow that, but in certain states, it's ok.

I just saw Waconia's prep a an hour or so ago. They were really good! They could pass for a varsity group for sure.

Yeah it was tough competition. I know Ralston was 3 points from making finals.

I loved seeing a lot of groups here! A few things I wanted to say:
I loved Waconia's show along with their costumes. Like a lot. You seriously are my favorite show so far this year! haha

I liked what Elkhorn South did with the beginning of the closer. It really showed off your vocals and set it up great. Just wondering, any reason for the change? Also I can really tell that you guys have been really working hard and bringing it up to a new level every week!

I was reaaaally happy to see Papio put on a great show this year. It might be the best I've seen you in the last few years! It was a good and solid show and I'm glad i'll get to see you guys at next week at Southwest and at Ralston Ramageddon! =>

My predictions after daytime were...

1. Hastings
2. Lincoln Southwest
3. Waconia
4. Elkhorn South
5. Grand Island Northwest
6. Sioux City East

I have not seen daytime scores so these were just my opinion.

Nice job guessing results. It cracks me up that someone thumbs-downed your two posts. HAHAHA. Someone didn't like results....

Well anyway congrats to everyone. Only seen Hastings and Waconia, so Southwest must be really good this year! Glad to see that program resurging!

I plan to take some notes during finals and will likely post them eventually.

Good luck to all the groups who are about to perform! And thank you to all the groups who performed earlier today, things have gone off (more or less) without a hitch.
