Anybody know the results for middle school and 9th prep?
If anyone gets them, please post them in the Day One topic.

I believe just the first 3 groups are women's choirs. I don't know if they are in a separate division though. Usually we don't make a separate division in Iowa.
Okay, I've gone ahead and merged the single-gender and prep groups into one division. Please someone correct me if there is indeed a separate single-gender division so we can assign the awards appropriately.

Good luck to Waukee! Muscatine will be rooting you on all the way from Keokuk!
Thanks Adam and all of the Muscatine folks! =)

Sioux City East Impulse is an all female group. Sioux City East New Sound is their mixed prep group.
Way to beat me to it Ethan

I think Sioux City Impulse is their mixed prep group. But don't quote me on that.

Predictions:

GC. Ankeny (BC)
1RU. Waukee (BV)
2RU. Johnston
3RU. Sioux City East
4RU. Ankeny PM
5RU. Millard West

Top three are pretty set I believe. I don't see anyone moving up into those spots. 3RU-5RU is going to be a very interesting matchup. Sioux City East is not as strong as past years in the middle of a director change and I hear Millard West isn't having a great year either. Ankeny PM on the other hand is having one of their better years. Things that could happen and would not surprise me: Waukee taking GC. Ankeny PM taking 3RU. Waukee Spirit or Johnston Synergy also making finals.

This competition has a pretty big question mark over it and it should be a very fun day figuring it out!

Good luck to all groups!

Waukee Spirit beat Des Moines Lincoln at Muscatine by at least 3 placings, so they definitely have a good chance of making finals here! I didn't get to see either show so I can't say they will for sure or anything. Also, Waukee just REALLY sings well this year. I'm gonna predict they'll win vocals. Otherwise I have no clue how this one is gonna go! Good competition!
Ah did not know that, so that adds another group into the Prep group mix, good to see Synergy and PM having to step it up. Super pumped for this show, gonna bring back some old memories. 10 years at Urbandale, through some rough rides and some good times. Ugh, this week is turning into the week before college football starts, where Ia ccomplish absolutly nothing.

I'm so excited for this competition!! This is my first (and last) year in Innovation.
GC: Ankeny/Johnston/Waukee
1RU: same
2RU: same
3RU: Souix City East
4RU: Millard West
5RU: Lincoln or Prep Winner.

The most likely top three is Ankeny winning, but then I have no idea about 2 and 3rd. I haven't seen Waukee's show yet. My hope is just for Johnstonto break the 2RU up curse. This would be the 10th year we got 2RU at Urbandale! But in all seriousness, good luck to all groups competeing!!!! Can't wait!

I think Dennis Hendrickson might be coming in for finals only and Terry Voss will be there for both days.

I feel like I'm forgetting somebody too though...

Thanks, I KNEW I was forgetting somebody!!!

Nope. Intermediate mixed is correct.
Ok... so is the whole thing just a prep/open division, or is indeed there a division of only single-gender choirs somewhere? It appears that at least some of those groups are womens groups.

Thanks, Jay. So is Waukee "Spirit" a women's group? It's listed as an intermediate mixed choir in the database.

All the groups after lunch break are top tier groups. Sioux City East Impulse is the last single-gender choir.

Does anyone have the division splits? I would love to get some of these competitions entered into the database.

Thanks!

The judges that I can think of include:
Nancy Allen
Tom Gerkhing
Chad Alexander
Lara Moffett-Menard
Damon Brown
Steve Woodin

I know I'm leaving one or two out. I believe Dina Else is doing critiques, if I'm not mistaken.
