Waukee Spirit beat Des Moines Lincoln at Muscatine by at least 3 placings, so they definitely have a good chance of making finals here! I didn't get to see either show so I can't say they will for sure or anything. Also, Waukee just REALLY sings well this year. I'm gonna predict they'll win vocals. Otherwise I have no clue how this one is gonna go! Good competition!

I'm proud to be coming back after a number of years away (not by choice - I've just been enslaved at the opera - last time I was there was 2007). Anxious to see the new h.s. - I'm sure I won't recognize the place since it's entirely brand new. I was curious to count up what number this will be for me - and it turns out it will be lucky #13 out of the past 24 yrs I've made it over there (first was, um... well... a long time ago... I was only 14!)

HAHA, I moved away from DSM right after I graduated, I live in the black hole of iowa known as Iowa city(though you will disagree seeing as you are a hogeye fan) But no, My youngest bro is graduating this year form A-town and seeing as i no longer have "skin in the game" my attendance at show choir events will likely decrease(as well as my constant checking of showchoir.com)
Well, After about 7 years of competing at urbandale or having a sibling competing there, this will be my last urbandale competition, it will be fun but alot of memories. Looking forward to coming out for it.

I don't know the whole lineup, but I'm fairly certain that all of the western suburb public schools are coming except WDM Valley along with Sioux City East and Millard West. I'm forgetting some others though.
We do still have three spots open if anybody is looking for a well run competition in a nice new venue.
