I remember the first time I became aware of Mt. Prospect was when we saw them at Showstoppers Orlando in 2001. They did a Miss Saigon show and their vocals were excellent back then too, so they definitely have a history of good singing.

My favorite show of theirs was the Journey show, and that cool cool cool arr of Don't Stop Believin'. They are much improved this year - they were good last week at Chicagoland!

Yep... 2004- I remember we competed against them at Fort Arkinson. They ended up winning.

Prospect has been around for years. They used to dominate at competitions they attended in the late 90s and early 00s. They are known for their "Civil War" show and their "Defying Gravity" show which won them competitions in 2005. (check them out on YouTube from Great River). Their old director got into some trouble with the law and was let go in the middle of the season of 05... The seconds half of the 00s they weren't finalists at many places. They placed dead last at Great River a few years after they won. But now, They are born again with the fantastic work of their director Jennifer Toriano and choreography by Alex Hall. Their vocals this year are STELLAR. They were second only to ATSC today in prelims and second in vocals day and night to Buffalo Grove at Chicagoland. They belong in finals here without a doubt.

Where can you watch the earlier preformances?

When you click on the live feed, you can choose "Morning", "Afternoon", or "Finals" sessions.

Can't say I have ever heard of Prospect. And WOW no Twinsburg in finals? The surprises me.
I definitely agree! I'm disappointed to see both Ohio groups finish just outside of finals and I'm sure their earlier performance times probably didn't help much either, but hey it's one heck of a competition and everyone has earned their spot! I'm just glad I can re-watch the daytime performances, because I've been dying to see some of these groups!

Best of luck to all groups in Finals!!!

With the amazing quality of this competition, I think we all expected a couple surprises.

After watching this ALL DAY...its clear to me....the top 3 (in no specific order).

Totino

Mt. Zion

Lincoln SW

These are the shows that had the best general effect in my opinion. The next 3 would be

ATSC

EEE

Prospect...

Good Luck to all choirs!
