Side note, just remembered People's Choice went to Edgewood. Just in case anyone cared.

In the past I've noticed Indiana choirs tend to sing better than Ohio (and other states') choirs. They just usually put an emphasis on vocal quality, cleanliness, and pictures while Ohio choirs tend to have more fun shows with more difficult choreography. And going off history Indiana choirs tend to place higher than Ohio show choir. Now, does that mean Luers is going to win this competition? I have absolutely no idea. I haven't seen any of the shows this year. Just something I've noticed from the past.
You're so right! I'm in a choir from Ohio and I love hearing Indiana choirs. But I do think our choreo is incredibly difficult and presents very good visuals. We placed 1st runner-up at a competition in Indiana last weekend and it could be due to the fact that Indiana judges were looking for something other than incredible vocals.

I think there has been a mistake with the name of our choir. Credit went to "Music Warehouse" from Edgewood LOL when its supposed to be the "Choraliers".
Sorry about that, I must've grabbed the wrong Edgewood. Thank you very much for pointing it out! This is precisely why including choir names helps tremendously.

All fixed.

The fact that people are too sensitive is the very reason why I am unassociated. Let's just say that I have seen/experienced enough show choir to know what I am talking about. But the show choir world thrives on the upset and that's what keeps me watching.
Well then, to be frank, you're perpetuating the problem. There will always be oversensitive people... not gonna change that. I understand that people like to be anonymous on the internet, but having a real name and choir policy here has helped tremendously in keeping people responsible for the content of their posts, greatly reducing unwarranted attacks, and helping to keep our members safe. With the advent of sites like Twitter and YouTube and Facebook, there are plenty of places to be anonymous on the web and go off on whoever you like. This isn't one of them. I don't try to police people and I encourage everyone to speak their minds (as long as it isn't obscene or slanderous), but it isn't fair for members who do follow the rules when other people choose to break them. I didn't find anything offensive about anything you said, so this isn't about the content of your posts. Hopefully you understand the situation. Let me know if you would like to rectify it and I will be more than happy to let you jump back into the conversation again.

Yes of course... and some people are too sensitive. That being said, the fact that you are "unassociated" doesn't help your situation. If you rectify that, I believe people will respect your comments more.

Not to mention for all we know some random group COULD end up sneaking past to that first spot....it kinda has been a trend this year. Possibility of this happening is pretty slim but than again you never know.

It's not that their (Luers') choreography is lacking, or their showmanship, which are both comparable to any other high quality choir, but vocally they tend to have the upper hand.
