It's in Solon, Ohio...

Approximately 15 miles south of Cleveland's Public Square...

Nifty. I don't know which one we will be going to if they are on the same day.

Actually, I could produce proof that it is the first weekend but I would prefer to wait because it involves a schedule for a group.

Same here...

I am excited to invite you to compete in the first ever Solon Music in Motion Show Choir Invitational! Mark your calendar now for Saturday, March 3, 2012 and register your choir prior to the June 17th early bird deadline. Early registrations will receive a $25 discount off of the $250 entrance fee.
The Music in Motion directors, parents and students are thrilled to be organizing an outstanding competition to showcase the talents of mixed high school show choirs from around the Midwest. We are committed to hosting an exceptionally well run, competitive event that will attract the best choirs and will encourage directors, students and guests to return year after year.
Some of the highlights of our competition will include:
• A great location in an eastside Cleveland suburb with easy access to interstate and turnpike routes
• A panel of qualified judges with a clear rubric
• Two host rooms per school
• A 52’ x 36’ performance area plus an additional 16’ x 28’ in the wings
• State of the art 1170 seat auditorium (completely renovated in 2007)
• Digital audio recordings of judges’ comments throughout the performance and transcribed judges’ notes available immediately following afternoon awards
• Well organized stage crew
• Creative trophies and awards
• Separate lounges for directors and bus drivers with complementary food and beverages
• A variety of delicious food offerings throughout the day in our spacious cafeteria
• Ample onsite parking for school buses as well as guests
• Plenty of lodging nearby the high school with easy freeway access

I hope you will be one of the schools to kick off what we plan to be a long standing tradition of excellence in show choir competitions. To secure your registration, please send a check for $225 payable to Solon Board of Education to the address below as soon as possible. Also, complete the attached registration form and include it with your check. If you have any immediate questions, don’t hesitate to contact me.

That is awesome that Solon is putting on a competition this coming year. Back when I was in show choir I used to love Solon's show choir festival they put on every year and wondered why they never put on a competition. I'm sure this will be a great event.
