Wow. 3 seriously amazingly out of control show choirs...
CONGRATULATIONS, kudos, and thank-you to everyone involved in those shows (students, parents, directors, choreographers, arrangers, set/costume designers, boosters, administration, supporters, etc.)!!!
Seriously...what you just did was art. Beautiful, extremely entertaining, and inspirational art. And I couldn't have imagined spending the last 2 hours of my life any differently (well except seeing it live in CA). Thank-you for that.
I hope you all are SO proud of what you accomplished tonight and this year.
Can't wait to see what you all will pull out next...
Los Alamitos SoundFX: Wow! I am super impressed with this years show. It was the absolute best show I have seen from you guys. I really hope you guys place in the top 2! And I loved the choice of songs. (Tie for 1st)
John Burroughs Powerhouse: Ah! Love the Star Wars theme and the fireworks were really cool! Many people are saying that it is an off year for you guys, but I disagree completely! Most impressive, and great job at showing that you don't have to be extremely bizarre every year. Loved the music, especially the ballad! You have some amazing 1st Tenors. (Tie for 1st)
Burbank In Sync: Eh. Not super impressed. A little too far off the deep end. Sure the choreo and vocals were there, I just wasn't satisfied with the show. Didn't flow well for me. It seems that you have a bizarre year then an amazing year and it repeats. This was definitely a bizarre one... (2nd/3rd)
I think their show is really entertaining...but I have been wondering about the concept for a couple months. I get they need rain...but then they go to amsterdam? Could someone help me out here...hahahah
Don't take it quite so literally, lol. Listen to the lyrics of the song, they fit the concept very well.

wow. I really couldn't decide. I gotta say though, I love the disappearing curtain at the end of Illusion of Life. They rock that exit! Choreo was great too, but very stylistically different from Powerhouse.
I was definitely not expecting the literal "fireworks" by Burroughs.. it was amazing! I'm also really enjoying the music.. it's not entirely annoying pop stuff.
That just breaks my heart. I always loved watching Serrano's shows. I remember loving the "Good vs. Evil" set they did in 2007 when I was a senior in Los Al. Good times.
