Back on topic, I'm excited to be at this one tomorrow! I plan to show up by 3:30 at the latest (probably earlier) and stay through finals. If you see me around, come say hi!

Hurray for returning home to watch show choir! It's gonna be a great day!

I wonder how results would change if *insert obscure non-relevant show choir here* were coming???

I'm not trying to add gas to the fire here, but I think some people might be upset that you pretended to be someone else and that you are openly biased in favor of your alma mater, with hostility towards Iowa/Iowa competitions. It's okay to have pride in a program you were part of once, but sometimes it can be seen as misplaced superiority. Once again, I have nothing against anybody here, these are just some observations and possible interpretations of said observations.

Either way, good luck to all competing groups and the hosts!

No you're completely right. Because I come from FC, and everyone knows it, I am not able to change my affiliation to just an observer. Therefore I get slammed every time I compare FC to a group like Clinton. This is because of a lot of things I said about 5 years ago now, to the top 3 posters from Iowa. The mean girls.

Nobody (except for the few nice Zionsville students who pm'd me) mentioned that I've also brought up Zionsville in a ton of posts this year, As well as Huntington North.

A third of the show choirs I see aren't even competing with FC, and I post in topics all over the site because I'm interested in the other top 25 or so choirs in the country.

My list of my favorite choirs in the country is as follows.
1. Burbank
2. Burroughs
3. Clinton
4. Huntington North
5. North Central
6. Carmel
7. Franklin Central
8. Findlay
9. Totino Grace
10. Fairfield

Clearly FC is not my fav, but I do live a block away from the high school, so i've seen a lot of them this year, just like ZVille and Ben Davis.

I'm not blind like I was in high school, and even though I may have not been able to see as many choirs in different states since my graduation, I think that only speaks to the fact that I have a life.

I also have kept up with almost all of them on Youtube... which is not the same, but for what I care about, Show design, costuming, concept, arrangements, appropriateness of the choreo etc, It does the job. Vocals are obviously going to be lesser, but if you're comparing video to video, there's no foul.

So I wish ppl wouldn't act like i'm the idiot 16 yr old that was posting all kinds of crap all over the site and actually DIDN'T know about anything. I know I did that... This pianist/vocalist has been around this activity for a long long long time, and I happen to know quite a lot about it. I'm not a mean guy, I'm actually quite a Jolly, chubby, broadway/barbershop quartet freak, who's just too nerdy for his own good. lol

I have so much in common with so many of the ppl on this site, and instead of having friends here, I'm constantly just getting B*tched at for talking about pretty much anything. Like I said, No one mentioned the other 2 groups i've been watching just as much as FC this year...

Iowa has won! Goodbye once again SCC.... lol

Lol, I'm cool

I just wanna know what I ever did to Chris here to make him so hostile? Were we not friends when you came to Indy in like 2008 for state? Then I didn't post for almost 2 years, and now here we are?

All of Iowa, please, just go ahead and get it all out.

Tell me how you really feel.

Results speak for themselves.
Iowa goes to IN
IN doesn't come to Iowa.

Cedar rapids Washington "celebration" (prep group) > Franklin Central "almighty IN varsity group"

stop talking about stuff you don't know.

I don't know about Iowa, for good reason. You don't know about Indiana.

And yes, Results do completely speak from themselves... lol

I predict Franklin Central is going to win.
Oh wait...

Nice of you to edit that. Thanks!

If you do come to Indianapolis for the Finals, Say Hi! My bf and I already planning on going, should be a great contest.

And for the record, Yes, If FC were at this competition, I would predict them to win GC.
Not because I'm biased, but because I've seen CRK's show.

I guess I'll do some random predictions... and these only count for day round since I'll only be there for prelims. If I could skip my show I totally would!

GC: Cedar Rapids Xavier
1RU: Cedar Rapids Kennedy
2RU: Waukee
3RU: Mundelein
4RU: Janesville Craig
5RU: Milton

6RU: (aud winner) Sumner-Fredericksburg

In finals I think this is all gonna mix up and change. But I just have a weird feeling this is how day round is gonna go...
