Mundelein does know that they can't share members in between groups right?

Actually, I'm not sure that is still the case. I saw a post in another forum (don't remember which one) where Storm said that they had made an adjustment to that a couple of years ago. The change did not allow sharing of groups with 'like' compositions, but did allow for sharing in groups of 'different' compositions. So for instance if a girl wanted to be in both an all girls group and a mixed group that would be ok, but could not be in two mixed groups.

I don't know, but personally Mary hasn't even judged that crazy. There are always judges who place the same way she does. I sat with Mary in finals in 09. Everything she commented about was spot on and I think most people would have agreed with the placings she had. Also, she has never judged when Xavier competed at Mo-Show, so I guess I don't really know what the problem would be with her judging. In 05 people were mostly upset that she placed Kennedy low, but Sandy Chapman scored them worse, and I think anyone who has grown up around Iowa choirs respects Sandy's opinions very very much. And in 09 Mary had Happiness in first, so she was not just being biased against Kennedy. I personally think Mary judges how she sees it, as does everyone, and I've never found her judging to be completely outrageous. Having said that, I would assume she won't be judging since DK got a lot of crap for it.

Jay- ghunt made NO comment on Mary's capacity to judge or her placements of the past... now who is going overboard?

I was just wondering. The program said she was an auditorium judge last year, and I thought she did finals as well. I may be totally wrong about the finals part. I just thought I remembered seeing her scores on our sheet last year.

nope I have no clue. There will be 10 judges in finals, at least. (they might add a jazz judge or two, and idk if there is a solo competition but sometimes they judge finals too) Usually DK doesn't put a list of them anywhere, and they aren't on the website. Usually the judges are a mix of really established names from Iowa and adjoining states. Probably won't see anyone from Indiana or Ohio or down south or out west.

Thank! Do you for see his daughter judging again?

I was watching the finals tape from Muscatine the other day, and I'll have to be honest. Wash has a lot of potential!! Their show is really cool; it just lacked some execution and precision in spots. If they could fix some of those little things, I think it could be a really good show.

This looks like it's going to be a really tough competition this year! I can't wait!

Even the auditorium competition is tough. I believe 4 of the groups in the aud were in finals last year. All were very good.

This is NSE's first appearance since 2004, I believe!

Yeah it's been a while. We've got some real tough competitions this year, but hopefully we can step it up and surprise some people.
